There is not enough time in a day to see all the galleries and shops. I don't think two days is enough. There were so many beautiful art pieces.

90% of the galleries were closed during the Scottsdale ArtWalk on our 13th annual vacation. We couldn't have felt more disappointed in something that had become a tradition for us.

Spend a relaxing afternoon strolling around the Old Town. Lots of little shops, jewelry, western items, etc. Great gelato shops and restaurants galore.

I love art galleries. This is definitely the area to visit. So many galleries - so many varieties. They even have an artwalk i believe on thursday evenings - we missed it.

Just be aware that you may end up with a purchase. The art has become some of the best in the U.S. It is not just 'western art' that you will find. Innovative and eclectic which makes the trip all that much more fun.

There is an art walk along Main on Thursday nights (not so in the hotter summer months). Most of the galleries are open there, in addition to restaurants and bars.
