Amazing how music is created by different instruments, but music as the language of the soul is similar in every nation, in everyone!

If you want to be amazed at people’s creativity in inventing musical instruments, this is the place! There are instruments from all over the world and each is more unique than the other. I could have spent a whole day exploring this place.

We had a great experience at the MIM. The history of music in different countries are well displayed. Captions and headphones are informative and we had a wonderful time! We also attended a concert!

Each exhibit visually entices the viewer to see instruments in an interesting cultural setting as well as hear the wonderful sounds people make with them. Docents are remarkably well trained to offer even more information and insights about the musicians, instruments, and their music.

Yes, it’s a decent place to enjoy a show. Personally I like to be down front and center. But anytime I’ve been there I can’t say I’ve had a bad seat.

No dress codes - I'm sure any comfortable shoes are fine. My wife and I typically wear jeans/shorts and I wore sandals.
