The New River Trail is one of our favorites for bicycling because we not only get a well-paved path but also get away from noise and traffic. We try to ride it several times a year and are never disappointed.

Love the location of this trail for walking and biking. Its quiet and safe. I like how the trail goes under the roads and hooks up to other major trails.

Beautiful trail! Today, some of the gates were closed for seemingly no reason. This made it tough to keep momentum especially considering the gates were always leading under a major overpass. This trail is a nice 7.8mi stretch that can be ridden forwards and backwards...More

With the newer connections to other trails, you can walk or bike pretty much as far as you want. Adjacent to Rio Vista Park on north side of Thunderbird, which has sprinkler and playground for children, huge grilling area, skate park, and ball fields so...More

We were looking for a place to hike and came across this on Trip Advisor. Beautiful park and trail. We went for a long walk. We just wish we would have had our bikes or could have rented bikes somewhere.

I have family in Peoria and they live close to this trail, so when I visit each year, I make good use of it. The trail is smooth, well maintained and very pleasant for walks and cycling. I've seen packs of coyotes in the wash...More
