    Go inside
Go inside to view a magnificent interior. At the time of our visit there was service happening so we sat in the rear pews. Very grand outside and amazing inside. Easy to find in the main street of Apia.

Beautiful centerpiece of Apia's downtown sights.
We walked 1km north from our Vaea Hotel to tour the Apia center. This cathedral dedicated in 2014 is certainly a fitting centerpiece with its colorful interior, beautiful crafted wooden ceiling and its organ rose window. We walked around the bayfront to see the 1849 Protestant Church and the Aggie Greys restaurant-hotel (under restoration) before returning to the Visitor/Cultural Center. Another highlight was finding the airconditioned American Corner Library with free internet.

A little extra from our tour giude.
I have seen this cathedral from afar when sailing into the Apia harbor and it is striking to see. Stopping at the church wasn't part of your excursion, but our tour guide wanted us to see it and we were so glad we did. As fantastic it is to see from afar, it is better up close. And the inside......wow wow wow. The church was completed in 1857 and since that time it has been been damaged, restored and expanded. If you are ever in Apia make the effort to visit this cathedral.

We walked 20 minutes from the Cruise ship terminal, this Cathedal is in downtown, nice architecture from inside and outside, free entrance, close to the central market, shops, restaurants, an icon of Apía town.

What a beautiful church. It’s worth a visit, but unless you are attending a service, it’s a quick visit. The stained glass windows and the wooden roof is stunning.

We walked past and took some photos while in Apia. We enjoyed seeing this cathedral and can’t believe the number of churches here.

An incredible piece of history and architecture well preserved and restored. The Cathedral represents Samoa in many ways faith, beauty, and strength. Privileged to share a service with local devotees just beautiful.

Even empty of services this Cathedral has such a magnificent presence. The architecture and religious appointments are worth the time to take in with a walk around its aisles.

Well worth a visit. The cathedral is very impressive from the outside and even more beautiful inside. I would highly recommend attending one of the Sunday services (there is one English service and several in Samoan). The quality of the singing for one is well-worth experiencing all the while marveling at the impressive architecture.
