This is a beautiful homestead with a lovely story. The homestead is wonderful and the walk up to his tomb was easy. I highly recommend this as a trip while in Apia.

I was brought up on Treasure Island and Kidnapped so this was a trip back to childhood. The house is very impressive, airy, cool and extensive. Our guide was excellent, and although she had probably done the tour umpteen times that never showed, it all...More

A good insight into the life of RLS in Samoa with an excellent and passionate in house guide that brought the story to life.

This is undoubtedly one of the highlights of the trip. As you approach the house, you’ll be blown away by the gardens - they’re immaculate. Everywhere you look is manicured lawns, perfect garden beds and flowers in bloom. Worth the visit just for that. But...More

Peaceful and serene place. Very interesting and gave you a real sense of the family's life. Very relaxed young woman as a guide who filled in all the details.

I think what made this good museum even better was our tour guide. It was obvious that she loved her job. She even mentioned that she wrote a paper in school about RLS & his wife Fanny. The home is very well preserved, even though...More

Well worth checking out the tour of the house- the gardens themselves are beautiful and worth a look. It has been preserved and presented well. I’m pleased the owner choose to open this museum up for the public.

This very historic and culturally important home of TusiTala was a real treat. The grounds were so well looked after with all local fauna, bird life and sprawling lawns. The homestead has been so well kept and all the memorabilia was easily accessible and photos...More

We did the shorter but steeper track and I’d definitely avoid that. I can’t speak for the other track. Another family we met said that this track was also a little challenging as it had been raining for a week leaving it... More

It is quite a hike up to the grave and can be very slippery when wet. I agree with the previous comments that perhaps a visit to the museum would be sufficient, I wouldn't recommend the walk to the grave site.
