A great informative tour and fascinating history to this museum. The walk to Robert's grave is well worth the trek, the view from the top is spectacular.

As a Scot, I of course wanted to visit the Stevenson museum during my time in Samoa. We took a local bus (which is an experience in itself and definitely added to the adventure) for 2 tala each and walked up the beautifully planted long...More

Whilst this is a very good museum like most things in Samoa it is hard to find because of the lack in signage. Took the tour with a wonderfully enthusiastic young lady full of information. The museum is full of interesting things with the entrance...More

The house was built for Robert Louis Stevenson and he spent his last 4 years there. You get taken around with a tour guide; she spoke nicely though clearly it was probably her 1000th time doing the tour. The house and garden are certainly worth...More

I had no idea this is where RL Stevenson spent the last four years of his life. His house, restored by an American benefactor, and the amazing grounds are well worth a visit. Stevenson was greatly loved by the Samoan people and you cannot visit...More

Wow if only they could retrieve more original pieces of furniture back to where it should be. However it is still amazing and a beautiful house. The tour guide was interesting and passionate about the history. A must do.

We had our family reunion on the lawns but were able to wonder around the grounds and inside the house - this is a beautiful old house worth a wonder round.

We visited the house with a local guide completely unaware that there was a twenty talla entrance fee. The house is beautiful and our guide Margaret was very informative. The one thing I found slightly disappointing was that almost everything in the house was not...More

We did the shorter but steeper track and I’d definitely avoid that. I can’t speak for the other track. Another family we met said that this track was also a little challenging as it had been raining for a week leaving it... More

You can pay by cash in tala or Foreign currency (US dollars, AUD, NZD) We do have an Eftpos machine however, the line connection is sometimes a problem. The walk from the ship to the Museum will be maybe an hour. Depending... More

It is quite a hike up to the grave and can be very slippery when wet. I agree with the previous comments that perhaps a visit to the museum would be sufficient, I wouldn't recommend the walk to the grave site.
