Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent service - our family was the only people on the tour that day so it was pretty much a private tour for us. The driver/ guide was very friendly and had solid local knowledge when showing us around Apia.

Picked up at our resort by a driver and guide in a very comfortable mini bus.
Touring the island we stopped at a variety of locations, first stop was Falefa Falls, a view that was quite nice as there had been quite a lot of rain on the island due to Cyclone Tino. Plenty of water over the falls. We were driven over the ranges which afforded excellent views of the island and coast line. Stopping next at Lalomanu for a BBQ lunch on the beach and a swim in the ocean. The sun was out for the first time in our 8 day visit. After an hour's luncheon stop we drove to Sua Trench, a volcanic chimney full of tidal seawater, a long way down a ladder to swim in a surging pool. Spectacular. Then homeward back to our hotel in about an hour.
Our driver and guide were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, it was a pleasant day all around

Attempted to book this tour. Tour operator refused to provide time and place to meet. Not easy to directly contact.

Although we had an abridged version of the tour it was interesting and the guide was as promised knowledgeable. Did feel we spent more time driving around than actually visiting sights though. All in all still worth it.

This company did all our transfers in Samoa. The service was seamless. They were always there before the allotted time and the staff were super friendly. Highly recommend Samoa Scenic.

My wife and I had a half day (6 hour) fishing trip with Alfred Schwalger and deck hand Ollie. A really great trip, food, drinks water supplied. Very professional operation!! If you go to Samoa and want to go fishing contact Alfred!
Lots of lure changes to maximise our chances. My wife caught a lovely Mahi Mahi and I took 40 minutes to land the fish of a lifetime (photo attached) a 130kg marlin. Wow.
Thanks very much Alfred and Ollie!

The booking for this tour was made through TripAdvisor a few days prior and was confirmed by reception staff at our hotel and pickup time arranged the day before. On the day of trip, after waiting 20 minutes, hotel reception staff again contacted the company office and were told our transport was on it's way. The lovely Shadow and driver Klaus arrived over 30 minutes late and apologised for the delay. However it would appear that the office had no record of our booking and had scrambled staff to conduct the tour at the last moment. As such, we felt that although our guide and driver were extremely personable, they were underprepared for the tour. The drive around town felt rushed and not all sights in tour desciption were obvious, admittedly we did choose to leave out visit to catheral as we had been there a few days previously (tour was 1 hour shorter than advertised). It was unclear why the drive around Agricultural college was included as the college was run down and there was not much to see. The visit to Robert Louis Stevenson Museum was very interesting and enjoyable.
I feel that our experience was not typical for this company and that booking indirectly was problematic, Shadow in fact mentioned that she had no access to Viator.

We had 3 transfers with Samoa Scenic pre-booked through our travel agent. The airport pick up when we flew in was no problem. Our pickup from our hotel in Apia to the ferry terminal did not arrive, despite having confirmed our pickup the night before and the day we were supposed to have been picked up. After a phone call and 30 minutes of waiting, we called a taxi to avoid missing our scheduled ferry and transfers on the Savaii side. After calling Samoa Scenic to follow this up, we did receive an apologetic phone call and a promise to reimburse our costs incurred (80 tala taxi to the wharf + 24 tala for 2 ferry tickets which Samoa Scenic were supposed to provide.) We are yet to see the reimbursement. Upon returning to Mulifanua wharf, we found a Samoa Scenic van. They were not expecting us. Although they did transport us, this was mostly due to luck.
Would not recommend, especially for time sensitive transfers.

Pre-booked the shuttle before leaving home and found that the price I was charged online was nearly 4 times the actual shuttle fee I would have paid the driver in cash.
The driver was 15 minutes late, very rude and demanded the $25 Tala from another traveler before he would even get out of the back of the bus.
Even though I had booked the shuttle, paid for it, spoken to someone in the office only days before the driver demanded a voucher I never received in my booking.
Had be to taken to the company office to resolve which was sorted out in about 30 seconds, but the driver had already wasted more than 40 minutes pissing us about.
The driver stopped along the way to pick-up his wife and child.
The bus was a very basic Toyota Coaster that didn't sound well and not very well kept internally or externally.
My personal opinion - go with another company.

We spent a really good time on this tour it was all that said it would be. Very well presented the house was a pleasure to see and the following cultural show was enjoyed by all. We were on a cruise ship calling in for the day.

Hi Will you pick up and drop off to Queen Victoria cruise ship on February 19. Do you have anyone else wanting to do a 4 hour tour as there is only 2 of us and we're happy to share a tour - maybe Robert LS homestead, Aggie Greys and some island scenery? How much would that be? Many thanks, Cherie

If you can pick up and drop off to the Queen Victoria on the 19th we would be interested in this tour as well. There are four of us (two couples) so if Cherie is OK with us joining in, could you give us all a quote for six please.

We advised them that we wanted to do the tour which includes RLStevenson museum, markets, coastal drive, plum pudding rock etc.
They will pick up at Wharf at 8am arrive back 12pm.
The cost is US$52pp if for over 4 people.
Quoted double if only the 2 of us want to go.
Said they would let us know if they had other bookings
Is this the one you want to go on? if so we could get the $52 price.
Please advise on Princess cruises for ozzies facebook site.

Hi folks
Did you have any trouble getting hold of them to book?
I've had no luck, and neither has another who is on our cruise,

I was dealing with Shaddow using a direct email address.
I did not have any issues dealing with them. Occasionally it would take a week to get back to me if they were busy with tours but they would always reply.
