Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just visited here with my husband. Absolutely brilliant room full of bikes - ranging from never even having been fired up to being manufactured in the early 1950s.
The guys were lovely, friendly and knowledgeable.
Would definitely recommend stopping by here on your trip to Knysna

Very informative people who run the museum made this visit even more interesting. Great selection of bikes to look around. Glad we made the trip to Thesen island.

A brilliant trip down memory lane where lived to tell the tale with scars to prove it. Didn't have all my bikes (missing the ones I didn't crash🙄) but had a few I did. Yamaha Dt400 in different colours, I was knocked off. Kawasaki Z1000 so later model to the Z1B that put me in hospital when I locked the front wheel. And an old triumph a friend at university had and a laverda similar to one another uni friend had (and crashed). Happy days

Great place right from the start. Paid entrance fee and got a10 minute intro from the staff member. Lots of bikes from KTM ENDURO to Specials. Classic to very recent BMW RACING machines. Also some very interesting specials, including one built for someone paralysed from the waist down, absolutely a must visit. Let the better half wander the town while you spend 1-2 hours in Valhalla, then let the guy at reception explain the reason for the big map on the wall near the exit and the enduro journey it portrays.
Charlie and Ewan eat your heart.

Excellent selection of different types of motorcycles, from really old to more recent ones. Brought back memories of my younger days, Yamaha FS1E, and Yamaha RD250, and a really old NSU quickly.
Great to see Charlie Boormans GS and Itchy boots Honda she used to ride around South Africa. The guys there were fantastic, really nice and full of knowledge.
Great place to visit

Found this place almost by accident as not what I expected in a small secluded island setting. However, if you are interested in motorbikes it’s very interesting and well worth a visit. Some unusual bikes and some classics too. The gentleman behind the counter was very informative and entertaining.

If you're in Knysna, go visit this place, and if you've visited before, go again, because its impossible not to walk inside and not have a grin on your face the whole time.

If you have ridden, currently ride, or just thought of riding a motorcycle, this place will have bikes that connect you instantly to that feeling.

Besides that, the location on Thesen Island couldn't possibly be better, with great Restaurants and shops right across the road. Not to be missed.

Anyone who rode a “fifty” has to visit this place. Next level “walk down memory lane”. First time I have seen a Suzuki AS 50 since the late 70’s. Same blue as mine nogal. It didn’t stop there ! Every bike I have ever owned & loved ever since my first 50 is there. Pure nostalgia 💪

I've seen this "museum" grow from its conception some years ago to now. The passion and care taken to make such a dream a reality is nothing short of brilliant. Well done to Colin and team, and for adding superb value to Knysna's attractions. This is a place where a bike enthusiast can lose himself/herself for hours, reminiscing about past experiences and rides.
