Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really not nice at all, the first thing we saw was a tourist climbing around in terrarium spray water with a hard stream right in the snakes head and eyes. Then she took the snake out just to take a picture with it. We was there for a couple of minutes before claimed our money back. Animal abuse.

Took the kids here recently, they have a lot of terrific creatures in well-sized and maintained enclosures. Lots to see (probably 60-90min) including a reptile show with some very venomous snakes. Worth a stop if you love reptiles!

The reptile center is a small complex with a lot of good looking reptiles, spiders, Crocs and other animals. The manager explained the reason for the small cages so that made is easier to look at. Ask him, then he will explain it with joy! I loved the Chameleons, although there were only a view. Within an hour we had seen it all but with a tour guide it should be longer. It is a nice place that deserves our attention, especially because its is there for a long time and hopefully it will stay there!!

I had the extended photo tour at this amazing place. The centre is superbly organised and maintained with a focus on conservation and education. Worried residents phone the centre when they find snakes in/around their property and the reptile centre staff catch them and take them back to the centre. A lot of snakes would be killed if they weren't rescued, they are checked to ensure they're healthy and eventually released back into the wild at a safe site.
Chris, the owner/manager and his team were absolutely amazing and so knowledgeable about every aspect of reptiles and their behaviour. They worked tirelessly to ensure I had optimum opportunities to photograph various snakes in natural surroundings.
I cannot recommend this place too highly, the knowledge of all the staff is only matched by their passion for these much maligned but totally fascinating animals.

My husband and I celebrated his birthday a few days ago by booking a full day photo tour of this wonderful place! Our guide, Praise, was a wealth of knowledge and was very patient allowing us to take great photos. You can clearly see he’s passionate about his job. We started by learning about scorpios and tarantulas and then moved on towards lizards, chameleons and iguanas. Lastly, we ended up learning about mostly poisonous snakes. It’s great to see what this team of people do such as rescuing snakes from people’s houses and releasing them back to the wild! They’ve also taken in several former pets when their owners can no longer keep them. It was a lovely experience which I hope to visit soon again and wish them the best!

We had a wonderful tour with a very informative guide. He explained to us everything about each and every animal. The place is home to many abandoned pets, it’s really nice to see these guys giving them the best possible life!

We booked the slightly more expensive private tour and had an amazing time. My wife didn't want to come so I just took me and my 2 boys (5 and 8 at the time).

The guide started off with showing us some very venomous snakes and explaining how the venom of different snakes worked. He was clearly passionate about reptiles and snakes and loved his job. He had time for all our questions and really made the experience great.

We then moved on to lizards where we spent a lot of time stroking an iguana, several other lizards, and even feeding a chameleon by holding food in our mouths!

Then it was time to hold a huge python, it weighed more than we could hold.

Then a tour round some other sections including snapping turtles and crocodiles.

Finally the guide fed a venomous snake a mouse and we watched it eat the mouse.

The guide was so kind to me and my kids, we all came away with a much greater love and appreciation of reptiles.

In all we were there probably 2.5 hours.

What an extraordinary experience to get up close to often misunderstood animals. The staff were knowledgeable and the opportunity to hold a snake and lizards was unforgettable. The animals look as if they are in good condition, which is always good to see.
