Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

its actually just a bridge not an attraction... but offers the best view of the bay.... best is to walk around the blue lagoon (about 2km walk)... to better appreciate the bay and it surroundings and people

Not taking away from the good folks of Yap, but I think this is just a bridge. Beats swimming across the channel, but still...

It's not so much the bridge as it is the boats tied up at one end. It's kind of a heritage boat building and sailing center that is trying to keep the traditions alive. Worth a stop and if they are selling anything, buy something.

The great view of the island, sunset or sunrise are all amazing from the bridge that is well maintained.

you're grasping for straws if you think otherwise. There are actually a few things worth seeing on land but this isn't it. Try seeing one of the original Men's Houses or the one that is for everyone (the most beautiful of them all) or the Stone Bank
Beyond that it's diving and snorkeling only, guys

There are many wonderful things about Yap. This bridge is not one of them. I walked across it several times getting too/from Kolonia. Frankly, I'm shocked to see it on Trip Advisor as an "attraction".

Bridge is in the very center of town and offers a good view. Not much traffic at all, but be careful.

This bridge is part of the road that circles Chamorro Bay in Colonia, Yap (A main section of town.) Every so often especially around holidays, there are sailboats dotting the view out of the bay and towards the open ocean. Looking the opposite way you see Chamorro Bay, where you can see the various restaurants and homes around the lagoon as well as the living history museum to the side. Both are beautiful to see on a sunny day. However, there is no sidewalk and cars will drive quite close to you. Its not a great place to linger. If you walk by around 6pm mon wed and fri you can see the paddling team leave the bay and enter the open ocean. Worth a walk-by but not a major attraction.

Don't miss the local boat makers and sailing instructors who are building boats called proas and arts and crafts for sale at the end of the bridge. Saw history in the making as the first women sailors were being trained which was always just for men.

Catch the traditional canoes tied up besides the bridge at the heritage centre (a fantastic visit in itself) and don't miss the views across the lagoon - beautiful!
