Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Charming Centennial Park
In autumn when we went this park was gorgeous red, orange and brown in colour. Lovely trees and trails. I took my 6 and 4 year old for a little walk from the bridge through the trees and around. Nicely maintained.

They were currently making a little pump track for bikes which will be fun once completed.

I didn’t see a playground or toilets which would have been a good feature.

We decided to drive through the park as we left Timaru. There are plenty of walking tracks in this long green park, along with mountain bike tracks. Infact there was a mountain bike event runnung in the park as we drove through.

Nice sea-side park -- large open space with footpaths, wide tidal flats along the seashore, rose garden, coffee shop -- a pleasant place to while away an hour in the morning.

This park was large and well kept. There was certainly nothing spectacular about it. It seems like a place locals use more than tourists. A cool BMX park lies within and there are plenty of trails and roads, whether you're on foot or biking, walking your dog or just looking for a quiet place to sit, this park can accommodate most tastes.

This park is huge and has something for everyone. There is lots of biking trails and a mountain bike course. There are duck ponds for the kids with safe playing areas. You don't need to spend money in Timaru to enjoy yourself. They even have BBQ's to cook your food on. Go down and give it a try you will not be dissapointed or out of pocket.

A wonderful place full of nature walks and bike tracks. Great place for picnics, let the kids run round a play on the play grounds or simply kick a ball around. You can take dogs too. Lovely place on a sunny day

Very nice area to walk and mountain bike, with many tracks very close to town, you can walk there from town but easier with car, perfect for a bike, there are playgrounds for children as well

I live just down the road from Centennial Park and have walked and mountain biked there many times over the years. There are many walking and biking tracks throughout the park. You can drive your car from one end of the park to the other.

Good local South Canterbury place to go where you can take family or just children and even the dog and just do a lot of nice "out-doorsey" things all in one place that provides the framework. To get the most out of it this is a nice day place to visit in my opinion / rather than rainy days. The folks there are nice. Another great local South Canterbury worthwhile attraction.

Wonderful place to visit and revisit we just love it for walking picnics- they have a free gas BBQ that is very good and loads of tables to sit at and enjoy the park. Walks and bike tacks just great we have been trying to do a different track each time we go - great on a hot day as they have shady tracks too. Our dog just loves going on the tracks too.
