Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Arranged a boot fitting here and was assisted by Ben.
Ben was very professional in the whole process and was able to pinpoint and shortlist the top 2 most suitable boots for my feet and skiing type out of so many boots available.
He was also honest and helpful and never trying to upsell or cross sell stuff which I didn’t need and also sharing tips on places to visit and eat.
Overall very uncommercialized and feels like your friend trying to help you get the best possible boot at the best possible price.
Would highly recommend coming here to get your boots fitted. The drive from lake Taupo over was Also fantastic and very scenic and definitely worth it.

My 11 year old daughter and I hired bikes and booked shuttle here for the Old Coach Road trip. It was our first mountain bike ride, and I was so glad we opted to pay extra for the full suspension bikes. The service was excellent, everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. In particular, the lady that checked us in was great - she showed us the bikes for a test run, and gave us a full rundown of what to expect on the trail.
We took our time, stopping often for photos and to read the info signs to learn about the history, and for snacks after the longest uphill so it took us over 3 hours but there is so much to enjoy while out there!

We hired a couple of bikes and completed the Old Coach Road. We absolute novices, staff ensured that the bikes were fitted to our size, provided helmets and guidance as to where the cycle tour started and importantly finished. Marshalls Road Carpark - got it (gets drummed in, in a good way) follow the horse shoes on the fence cant get lost. Even in the pouring rain we had super fun may be next time we will be brave enough to cycle both ways.

We were so lucky found Ben of TCB and rent a beautiful mountain bike for the whole lockdown period with very reasonable price and Ben extended it for us free of charge for additional two weeks Level 3 extension.
Ben is very helpful and responded very quickly our enquiries.
Our mountain bike called Carol in excellent condition and easy to use.

Didn’t realise how difficult this track would be (basic bike rider, never mountain biked before) so found it a real challenge! That’s my fault not the staffs. I wouldn’t have got through it without the support of Tim, one of the TCB staff members who joined us on the ride. He was super patient and motivating! All the TCB staff were super friendly and funny. Highly recommend using their services.

For $15 they do an over view of the bike track, directions & a ride out to the Horopito start of the old coach road bike track.
They were friendly, helpful & more than willing to help if you had any mechanical issues while cycling.
I was by myself, took just under an hour to reach the end with one brief stop included. It was another 20mins to reach Ohakune where we were staying.
Would recommend these guys & really enjoyed the track.

Arrived at TCB just before closing, staff were helpful, informative & easy going. We hired E-Bikes for our first ever mountain bike ride. We rode the Bridge to Nowhere. Max from Kune Shuttles transported us and arranged the jet boat. The whole process was so easy. Our bikes were fully equipped and a tool kit was provided. Other bikers on the ride commented on how good our bikes were. If you are considering riding the Bridge to Nowhere.....stop thinking about it, contact these dudes and get yourself to Ohakune

We recently hired electric bikes for riding the Old Coach Road. It was our first time on e-bikes and we were very pleased with the bikes and the guidance from TCB. The e-bikes added fun and gave us the energy to enjoy the scenery more. Thanks TCB team.

My husband and I booked e-bikes through TCB to bike the Old Coach Road. These guys were really well organised, really friendly and really knowledgeable. It was great to have front and back suspension on the bikes and we had a great time on the trail. The guy they contract to shuttle us to the beginning of the trail was great too.

What a lovely bunch of people to deal with. We were electric bike newbies so were a little nervous but the staff gave us simple and effective instructions and we had a ball on the The Old Coach Road trail. After a few early technical difficulties (solved without issue) and then one or two (or three) beginners crashes, it was extreme fun.
