We did the Old Coach Road mountain bike one-way (drop off at Horopito) - a nice relatively easy ride through lovely bush in mountain country. The 3 bikes we hired were fine, suitable & well maintained, with 1 being an electric bike which we would recommend for those that need a little help up the hills! Its battery lasted way... More

Ben and Tim were fantastic. They provided friendly, informative advice and most importantly, Tim was able to help me and my young boys back from the bridge when my seven year old couldn't do any more. The bikes are in really good condition and they have everything you need to get on the tracks. Definitely recommend.

We hired bikes from TCB to do this ride. It was a lot harder than we thought it would be, two aged 70, one 68 and a 66 year old. The men are much fitter than the women but all made it to Marshalls Road car park. Lots of push biking up the steep bits and lots of delicate braking... More

The cycling track is suitable for all people. Nice staff and beautiful scenery. Most of the track is relatively flat though you have to take care of some stones and tree roots on the ground. Highly recommended.

Hired two bikes here for the Old Coach Road, both in good working order. The staff is always extremely friendly, pleasure to talk to.

Ben! Had a great time on the ebikes. Love it when you do a hill start that the bike kicks in and your off. This is the 3rd time I have done the trail. Next time I do the turoa down to the town. Thanks a lot.

I rented a mountain bike (with helmet) for 24 hours, and was taken by minibus to the top of the Old Coach Road trail. Perfect service from TCB -- good bike (jealous walkers admired it and got themselves bikes the next day). Courteous and informative staff. The Old Coach Road trail was outstanding. Varied scenery, varied track, interesting information boards... More

We booked a cycling tour from here which involved a shuttle to Horopito and cycling down the Old Coach Road - even on a very wet day it was a great choice and we'd happily do it again.

The TCB staff were great, we hired the girls bikes however used our own bikes (no suspension). Only the last km over the river rocks (hand size..laid down for traction?) I was feeling it in the handle bars, otherwise OK...we had a pinic at the old bridge and 20mins back into it we heard a large rumble in the forest.... More

We rented an e-bike for our teenage daughter to do the timber trail as she was having arthritis pain in her ankles. The staff were great and very helpful. The e-bike was great to get her through the 2nd half of the trail and had plenty of juice left for the boys to have a play at the end of... More
