Beautiful. Shallow water, beach almost empty, perfect distance to walk from dolmus end to boat end, and do visit the hospital and see the turtles close up. Lovely way to spend a day. There are some beds at either end, can't remember how much they...More

Probably the most beautiful beach I have ever been to, with the big attraction of caretta caretta turtles.

This is one of the best beaches I've been to. Still, considering the Carretta Carettas (Hammerhead turtles) that live or lay their eggs on this beach the amount of tourists, boats and the crowd & noise makes you feel kind of sad. I wish the...More

My wife and I prefer to take the dolmas to the beach because it is so much quieter than the end that the boats come into. When the boats arrive with tourists from other resorts they come in waves and typically camp near the walk...More

It is 4.5km wide and totally unspoilt. Protected nesting site of Hammerhead turtles and home of turtle research centre. Lovely cheap river trip to get to it, takes about 20 mins and costs £1.25 return. or use local bus for about same price and time.

It was very hot under the shade on the beach in June so I can imagine it would be too hot for a young baby in August. The beach is lovely but it is cooler in amongst the trees above the beach.
