Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located in the Southern end of Canggu, at the intersection of Jalan Pantai Berawa and Jalan Canggu Permai, is Pasar Semat Sari or Semat Market. It is open all day, but the majority of the stalls are in full operation from 4pm until late. When I moved into my villa I purchased the majority of things I needed to set up my home at this market- mops, brooms, buckets, food storage containers, spices, fresh eggs, basic fruits and vegetables. The market offers a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, clothing, products for the home, spices and basic items such as cooking oil, sauces, beer, spices and snacks. At sunset, food and second hand clothing stalls set up in various areas within the market. Chicken and seafood is also sold here, exclusively after sunset, however it is advisable to purchase these items at your own discretion as there is no refrigeration available- my guess is that the chicken and fish are suitable for immediate cooking and consumption. Fresh tofu and tempeh are readily available, at room temperature, and I've purchased and eaten them without problems.
It is a small market, but an enjoyable shopping experience for a bit of local culture in an otherwise developed part of the Seminyak/Kerobokan area of Bali. I have found the eggs to be fresher than ones I've purchased at the supermarket and I never bargain as I find the prices very reasonable to begin with. Ex. Rp 13,000 ($1.30) for ten eggs, Rp 27,000 ($2.70) for 6 large avocados, Rp 35,000 ($3.50) for a men's belt, Rp 7,000 ($.70) a medium sized food storage container, Rp 13,000 ($1.30) for 2 kilos of limes, Rp 28,000 ($2.80) for a large Bintang beer.

We took a taxi and went there according to the good report on tripadvisor. What a waste of time. So we took a taxi to the echo beach and hat a bintang overlooking the waves and surfers. Great!

Lots of options to choose from. Basically a food court. Ada makanan bali - bakso - dan lain lain. Lots of parking space if you come with a bike and not a car
