Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lots of locals come here particularly on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons. They come to eat from street cart food vendors setting up on beach, fly kites, swim, watch sunsets, play volleyball, perform ceremonies, get cool, surf, gamble. It's cool to see a place that's just not tourists. The sunsets can be great (but that's every beach along this coast). I had amazing surfs here right off the river mouth /lagoon. On a mid tide and medium to large swell you can get some peaks glassy barrels on a sand bottom. Just up,the beach north is Batu Balong and echo And just a south is Finns /Barewa beach break. Super sand cover reef breaks and sand bank breaks. Also at back of beach heading south is heaps of small beach bars in sand that go off at sunset. Stay near here you won't regret.

It depends on your intention on going to this beach in particular, because from one perspective there isn't much to see.... but you can have some Bintangs, eat street food and chat with locals if that's your style. Really open but super busy on the weekends, especially around sunset time.

Used by locals on weekends and holidays and his is still devoid of the mass hoard tourists...tho how long that will last for is debatable.

This large beach has two large car parks, two small shops, a toilet (pay) and a small bar open afternoons and early evening (Mon-Sat) . Its very close to a Temple and has several very large Ceremonies during the year. Sadly the beach can be very dirty from Ceremonies or detritus washed up on the beach. Wonderful place for good clear sunsets-take your camera if it's nice. On a Sunday afternoon may locals go here (200-300 ish) to enjoy a family time on their day off.
