Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

At 250,000 rupiah for a day this place ranks way below other CrossFit style gyms I've been to around Bali. The facilities are very decent, but the class was nothing special. If this cost around 150,000 I would've given it 4-5 stars.

The gym facilities and classes are great. Most of the coaches I interacted with and trained with are wonderful and very knowledgeable (Bram, Hannah, Nathan, Holly, and Jacque are amazing)!
Melani, at the main lobby/reception area is amazing and always willing to help with a smile on her face. She made some suggestions regarding food and places to visit, and those suggestions were wonderful! She never made me feel that I was bothering her (unlike the other lady at the lobby who not only made me feel like I was burden and bothering her, but also made fun of me and what I asked to my face [in her language of course].
The hotel is advertised as luxury, but it is at best a 3 Star hotel (mold in the shower and lack of basic necessities like a hair dryer for example). If you don’t want to wake up at 7 and work out everyday; stay elsewhere because the music starts blasting at 7.
Last but not least, the “manager” there who is charge of guests and guest relations (her name is Alex) is awful. She shushed my friend when we complained for being overcharged. She told me that she will get me the login for the app to see the workouts, and she never did it. I already checked out, so now I will never get access to the promised workout calendar and details. She messaged me the first week to ask about injuries and preferences to match me with a trainer, and when I met with my trainer (wonderful trainer) we went over the details again because Alex, once more, didn’t do her job right (or at all).
So, if you want an upgraded hostel with a great pool, great sauna and cold plunge, stay here. You can also enjoy the classes and the recovery area (pool etc) without staying there and having to put up with the rude front desk lady and Alex’s inability to do her job!
Next time in Bali I’ll spend my money at a place that is worth it and go to wanderlust to use the gym facilities and recovery area.
Hugs to Melani at the lobby and all the coaches that made my stay tolerable.

I’ve never been to a box before, so this was one heck of a place to start. Stepping into the place for the first time was admittedly intimidating BUT everyone’s lovely and supportive.
I absolutely loved the build and stretch classes and the coaches were great for both. There were a lot of first timers (like me) for these types of workout but everyone was helped to adapt the workout to their needs.
The cafe is also great for healthy choices.

If I lived in Bali, I could see myself spending 3 hours per day here.
1) They have an amazing corner of the gym for some nice pre-workout mobility.
2) Then you go workout, with amazing coaches in an amazing space with perfectly fine equipment
3) Then you can go do any additional mobility work you may want in that same awesome corner
4) Then they have an attached kitchen where you can get some awesome post-workout food and coffee.
The owner, Dave, is awesome. And he said he's looking at adding a sauna/ice bath, and a future co-working space for nomads. The whole facility is incredible. And very affordable!!

From the title you might get an impression I have been to many crossfit gyms. The truth is I have not. Only to one. But I cannot imagine it can be somewhere else even better. When I moved to Bali one year ago I was gonna stay for a couple of months and then prolonged my stay indefinitely. The main reason for that was Wanderlust gym.
The place is great for all levels of crossfitters. The feel of the place is very relaxed, coaches are funny and super friendly yet very experienced and knowledgeable always ready to point out mistakes you do.
If you and the barbell aren't besties then I highly suggest to start with the metcon class they have daily. It is very similar to crossfit workout but you will not use barbells. Head metcon coach Susan Baker is simply awesome. Her workouts are never the same but have one thing in common - they always leave you drenched in sweat. When explaining some complex movement Suse usually uses some sort of funny analogy and she speaks Londinish which makes this even more funny :) I'd recommend Suse's metcon class to anybody who wants to burn fat, get some athletic endurance/strength and get a huge dopamine booster for the rest of the day.

Huge box with all the bells and whistles. Perfect for Open Gym or following your own programming but as for doing the class I found it was really crowded and hard to get in a high quality work out but that's part of being a great gym they are always going to be busy!

I was lucky enough to be a part of the biggest Class at wanderlust this year where the coaches accommodated over 100 people and made it work! Huge box that brings in so many incredible athletes. Great vibes. Loved my 3 day membership!

I bought a package of 15 personal training sessions from Suse at CrossFit Wanderlust. I let Suse know that I was looking to lose weight and get into better shape. The workouts Suse put me through were challenging and never boring. I was able to push myself harder than I had in a long time. Suse helped me lose fat, gain muscle and get a better understanding of how my body is supposed to function. Great experience!!!

Hey! I was thinking, what is the best way to get from the echo beach to the box? Is it impossible?
Written 11 August 2019
Hi,
There's plenty of easy ways to get from Echo Beach to the Box:
1. Scooter is easiest if you're comfortable on a scooter and have your insurance. Takes about 10-15mins from right on Echo Beach.
2. Use a service like Grab or GoJek to hire a taxi (car or scooter). This is inexpensive.
3. Bluebird taxi is another alternative.
Grab, GoJek and Bluebird all have easy to use Apps, in English.

Hi, I’m coming to Bali in April and want to combine a class at this box with a day trip (as we are staying in Ubud). My questions are a) is this anywhere near tanah lot temple so I could convince my partner that i can crossfit on holiday and it’s worth the trip and b) is there anywhere to have a shower after or will I have to carry on my excursion sweaty 😂 thanks :)

hello,
I would like to know about Crossfit classes.
My friend and I plan to spent about 7 days in Bali and we want to join the Crossfit class.
Is it OK and what the price is?
Thank you very much.
Written 12 June 2018
Hi!
They have both crossfit and metcon (no oly lifting) every day. One day drop in is 200k and weekly pass 550k. You definitely should visit the gym, it’s great :)

If I joined just for the open gym, is there a restriction of the times I could come because of the classes?
Written 19 May 2018
You’re allowed to train during classes. Of course classes are priority, but no restriction :)
