Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a great time on the trek with Teague. He shared a wealth of information about the vegetation in the rain forest and the falls were just fabulous. We were able to see them all the way down to the ocean. The moss and the ferns all around were just surreal. I would not have been comfortable going on the trail without a guide and Teague did a great job! Totally recommend this trek.

Teague was amazing.. He was so keen to answer all of our questions and we talked all the way... He was so kind to have carried everything we needed on the hike. Our teens related to him well and we are so glad we got to explore the quiet trail and had it all to ourselves.Highly recommended !

A great adventure off the beaten path. We enjoyed the hike, the area was beautiful and peaceful. The trail had a few steep areas as described in the overview of the experience. Teague provided walking sticks which made the uphill experience easy. We enjoyed the wildlife including otters, whales, eagles, and shells in the tidepools.

We had a great time on our guided hike to Coast Guard beach! We came to Ketchikan by cruise ship and Teague emailed us a helpful guide ahead of time to tell us where to meet him at the docks. It was just the three of us and Teague for the trip and we hopped in his SUV to drive out to the trail head. The drive was pleasant and gave us beautiful views of the water as we drove North. Teague came extremely prepared for our hike. He provided us with water, hiking poles and a snack of smoked salmon.

The hike had an easy-to-follow trail down to the beach (it’s not always tree-covered, so be prepared for sun or rain). The forest was beautiful. The beach is more for locals than tourists (due to its distance from the main town) and even on the sunny and warm Saturday that we were there, only a few people were on the beach sunbathing.

We took a nice break on the beach. Teague offers to lead you in meditation or tai chi or to take your own time to explore the beach. He was very friendly and answered all of our millions of questions.

It was a great getaway from town and other tourists, but still left us with plenty of time to explore Ketchikan before boarding our ship again. 10/10 highly recommend!

What a great experience! Teague is a very engaging and knowledgeable guide. He quickly ascertained my capabilities, and set the pace accordingly. I learned lot about the trees, plants, and berries. I would have no reservations recommending Teague!
