We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We first saw this 15 years ago and it is still in full working order. Simple, but effective - and brings a smile to the face. Well done to the inventor.

(Can be seen on a beach walk, no need to enter the resort)

the weather rock is not exclusive to the Cooks but it has its own particular blend of Kuki humour- nice to see that they have a sense of humour

We always stop to take a look at the weather rock as it is located at our resort (Pacific Resort on Muri). It’s good for a laugh and a photo I wouldn’t plan to make a big excursion to see it.

Had one of these at our resort. Had a little giggle when seen it and had to explain to kids the humour behind it. Didn’t realise until seen on here that it was a thing

This was my biggest surprise on the Island! How wonderful to find a culturally inspired ACCURATE weather system ! NOT!!!
It was accurate however, as long as you followed the instructions. Everyone just loved this rock and the kids went wild when they followed the instructions and immediately reported on the weather to all who were present! The instruction simply state that you must just LOOK AT THE ROCK to predict weather accurately. It stated: If the rock is wet: it is raining! If the rock is hot: it is sunny! If the rock is swaying: it is windy AND IF THE ROCK IS GONE: WE ARE HAVING A CYCLONE along with many other weather options all cleverly described. Just plain FUN! My weather rock is located at the Activity Hut at the Edgewater Resort.

Good for a laugh and a cool photo oppurtunity. Although I would not drive the island trying to find it, had to snap a photo once I found it. I heard there is a couple on the island of Raratonga I came across the one at Pacific Resort on Muri Lagoon. Good for a laugh

There are several of these on Raro. They are good for a quick tourist photo op but that is the extent of it. It is just a rock on a rope with a witty sign.
