Absolutely my partners and I’s favourite thing that we have done while staying here in the beautiful Rarotonga. We got absolutely drenched in mud, got stuck a couple times but still had a blast! 100% recommend if you’re okay with getting muddy. The team at Coconut Tours are funny as, they had us smiling and laughing the whole time.
You should definitely give it a shoot if it seems like your kinda thing!

Amazing choice of tour by my partner I must say... the quad bike tour was awesome, we got to ride in some parts of Raro that we would not normally go. Our guide Shaun was extremely knowledgeable about the area, funny and super attentive, taking the time to actually take a lot of photos for us and from us!! It was a treat to get to know/see more about Raro in the quad bike tour. :) thanks Shaun!!! Highly recommended!!!

The quad tour was great fun and really a highlight of our visit. Even as inexperienced drivers, we had a great time and felt safe. Our guide was excellent.
Definitely expect to get wet - at least your feet - as you ride through those streams.
And wear a good bra, as its really bumpy!

My partner and I did the quad bike tour in late May. It cost us over $300 all up and we came away very disappointed!! This IS NOT value for money and is only a reasonable amount of fun.
I wouldn't normally post such negative feedback but I did make contact wth Coconut Tours after our experience and gave feedback directly to them but there was very little interest in it (I am sure it is not the first time they have heard this). They certainy made no attempt to rectify the problems.
The people themselves are very nice and the equipment good but if you are looking for value for your money then do not pick this tour - you will be disappointed too. There are much better and cheaper tours available!
Our short stay in beautiful relaxing Rarotonga was certainly tainted by this.

This is a great concept and heaps of fun while bikes are working. Staff very helpful and informative and clearly know their stuff. The tour would be a whole lot better if all the bikes were maintained and serviced, some should be replaced.
Of the 8 bikes on the very start of our tour, 3 had no batteries and had to be jumped started everytime you stopped or they stalled, 2 had no brakes as well as 1 had no bakes and no clutch, and one had to be towed after the main chassis broke. All in all only 3 bikes were in working order. The rest were in very poor condition consistenly requiring attention. Lots of stoppages to get bikes going to the point that on the last valley we were advised there would be no scheduled stopping because of the problems in starting bikes. The most disappointing thing was that after all our break downs in the afternoon the bikes were parked up and covered up for the next tour party the following morning with no manitnennace being done on them.
Could have been much better and perhaps some of the money made should be put back into the bikes or at least get batteries for the bikes that were missing!!

So I took my daughters on this when we were in the Cook Islands last week. The guide was amazing, but the Quad ATV's were in such bad condition and no maintenance is ever done on them. One ATV had no brakes, they would not always start and would just stop while driving them. My daughters ATV flipped over, and even the Guides ATV was in such disrepair that we had to leave his on the trail half way through the tour after 15 minutes it would not start. So my one daughter had to join me on my ATV and my other daughter did not even get to drive the balance of the trip as the guide had to drive. I asked to speak to the owner or manager and the guide got him for me and he said oh sorry no explanation why he does not maintain his vehicles and puts his clients safety and well being in danger. He really did not care and wanted to get us out of there. In good faith I cannot refer this excursion to my clients until they bring their vehicles to a safe level. The guide was amazing but the owners and management do not care at all.

We found this tour to be ok. The guide was so so, his history stories seemed to mismatch other history stories, but he was friendly and welcoming. The quad bikes were an absolute disgrace. In very poor condition, difficult to control and probably not fit for service. I'd recommend giving this one a miss

We had the best afternoon doing this quad bike tour. We went up into the jungle and rode through streams and rugged tracks and had so much fun. Very glad we did it. They no longer include the swim back at the resort after the ride but it did include lunch which was very nice.

My partner and I booked in to do the four wheel quadbiking tour which is a must. My partner had never ridden a quadbike before but that wasn't a problem as good instructions were given at the beginning before you even got started and then the first course was beginner level and it got harder from there. The third and final course was challenging but alot of fun - going through streams, rockbeds, mud, it was very exhilirating and thoroughly enjoyable. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and made sure everyone was okay throughout the whole tour, stopping to wait when necessary. One of the more adventure filled tours to do on the island. Loved it!

My husband and I recently got back today actually from Rarotonga. We agree that Coconut Tours is a MUST-DO as a honeymoon activity. You can only do so much relaxation, tanning, eating, sleeping and repeating before you start craving for some real adventure! This tour was fantastic with a nice pace to it with a down-to-earth tour guide. It was 2.5 hours, but the timing was just enough and he gave us breaks in-between rough terrain. The views and sites are gorgeous and you'll get a feel for the only "jungle" on the Cook Islands and the safest jungle, as there are no wild animals. I wouldn't recommend it to those who have arthritis, back problems, vertigo, heart problems, or balance problems, because the second course gets pretty bumpy and very challenging. Wear good sturdy shoes, not flip flops, and take your Go-Pro for awesome vids. We thought about opting for the buggies to be able to "ride together," but honestly, we are so happy we did the solo ATV riding instead!! We passed by a group in buggies, and we felt more awesome on the quads. The receptionists are really nice and we got there really early, but they accommodated us and set us up early anyways. Oh and they give a little snack and juice at the end for refreshments. But yes, if we ever come back to Raro, will definitely do this again. Thank you, Coconut Tours, for a memorable honeymoon.
