Booked a 2 dive trip for my wife and I on our holiday. We prepaid online, and booking a few months out was super easy through the website, easy place to find, and just up the road from our accomodation,
when we arrived, we found it was just us going out with Lisa and her helper/master student Dawn, both we’re extremely pleasant, helpful and very knowledgeable, Sandy was very accommodating and made us feel extremely welcome. The hire gear was in good condition, well maintained, and everything fit well, The dive trip itself was outstanding… short boat trip, and easy access. Lisa took the time to assist with weight checks and pre dive advice, the location was beautiful and calm, exceptional water clarity and temp was 28deg Celsius. We encountered plenty of fun things, beautiful fish, slugs, rockfish, a turtle, some eels and even got a good swim through. The surface interval was pleasant, coming back to dock to change bottles, and um toilets were available… then back out.
All in all, very satisfying trip, and our hosts help to make it that much more special, will definitely book again, and won’t hesitate in recommending pacific divers.

I did both a refresher and a two dive trip on separate days with Josh and Sandy who were both so helpful and attentive and covered everything we might need.
The swells were quite big on both days just due to the time of the year but we still saw so much marine life including a turtle which Josh would make sure to point out to ensure no one missed anything and got some nice photos too! His scuba magic was also a bonus which made the safety stops go quicker.

We just got back from our best holiday ever and a huge part of this was due to the fantastic experience we had with Pacific Divers
My 14 year old son and I are certified and our 11 year old did his certification while we were there and it was just fantastic
From sorting PADI registration issues out (PADI issue not theirs) to rescheduling dives due to the weather they were just fantastic, prompt pickups and just did everything for us.
My youngest dived with a few of the staff and they were just fantastic with him and he is a confirmed diving addict.
Huge thanks to Sandra, Ben, Victoria, Gareth and all the others....we couldn't have had a better experience

Pros..
Friendly, congenial, helpful staff. Dive boat returned to the dock for your surface interval after the first dive. Would not have been pleasant in that little boat with the conditions we had. Could be the time of the year we were there. Strong current and surge on the three dive sites we visited. Surface waves were fairly large.
Cons.
Dive guides stayed about 3 – 4 meters off the bottom, swimming in near straight line. Not looking for interesting stuff to point out to us.
Upon getting back after our 2nd day of diving I noted that the rinse water, in the barrel, for washing the gear, looked as thou it had not been changed since our first day of diving, 2 days before. Very dirty, filled with dirt and debris. Not good if you care about your personnel gear.
We were there during the rainy season, it rained each day, be it at night or sometimes during the day. General rule we found in diving around the world is that rain runoff from land will have bad impact on the VIZ. We opted out of diving the rest of our stay because of the lack of VIZ, little marine life and the conditions, surge at depth and the surface conditions.

Thank you Sandy and Josh, what a fabulous trip. Loved the personal service and explanations. Very experienced and professional instruction and safety. 1st class diving location and loads of time for me to get to see loads of sea life and get a real feel for diving. Very well recommended and will be back to do the open water course for sure

Amazing couple of days diving with our awesome dive guide Josh. We have managed to see turtles, a shark and 5 humpback whales (which I would have missed being too engrossed in the reef, if it wasn’t for Josh’s keen eye!). To top it off he did amazing underwater real magic tricks!!!

Must visit dive centre - highly recommended! Sandy, Josh and the team were nothing short of fantastic, professional and hospitable.
My husband and I have visited many overseas dive providers and Pacific Divers have been the best by far. Safety is a key priority, they ensure extensive safety checks, thorough dive briefings, well maintained equipment, and it is plainly obvious that they care about marine life, the reef and their customer alike. Not to mention Josh's under water magic tricks - the only scuba magician in the Pacific!
Do yourself a favour and dive with Pacific Divers.

Did our open water qualification here. Signed up a bit last minute due to a stubborn ear infection only just clearing in time; as a result the paperwork was a little disorganised and there was a bit of confusion around pickups. However, once there it was a friendly atmosphere and we had a great time. Staff were good fun and patient with the newbies. Second time diving with this outfit and would use again if / when next in Raro.

What an amazing experience we were able to see humpbacks turning 🤩 in front of us!!! Thank you Josh being our dive guide and first ever dive magician and Kiran for stirring us on the boat safely back and forth. Thank you also for the double suits for us cold blooded Europeans 😬. Perfect two dives 👍🏻.

My husband and I are certified divers but haven’t dove in 15 years. Do we need to recertify before diving with your team?
Written 2 December 2018
No I hadn't dived for 8 years and my daughter had never dived, Steve took us to the lagoon to go through all the basics before we went to the boat and out to the open water site

Written 2 December 2018
Kia orana, thanks for your question. You do not have to recertify but you will need a thorough refresher before you go out diving. We can certainly provide what you need to get back into scuba.
If you would like to replace your Certification card and you were originally certified through PADI, consider the PADI Reactivate program. It is a great way to refresh your dive knowledge and get your card renewed. You can email me through our Pacific Diver website for more information.
Warm regards

hi! I just snorkel and of course love the lagoon; but if the dive company would let me go on the boat; do you think I'd see stuff from floating near the boat and looking down at the reef? I would love to see some larger fish in deeper water. I did that in Honduras beyond the reeef break and it was really cool
Written 16 September 2018
The reef is deeper then snorkeling depth unless you are a free diver. There are not that many large fish. I don't think it is the right place for it.

Hi Sian,
Was gear included in this $99 2 dive deal? Great to hear you had a nice time!
Written 22 August 2016
Hi Ben, no it wasn't. $99 deal is cash only and gear was charged extra
