We did the land tour with Ted and Rhonda. Great couple of hours with people who care about their island. History, geograpy, conservation, refreshments and lots of humour. Would 100% recommend.

We had a fantastic day sailing with Ted and Rhonda in the lagoon. We had no sailing experience and we didn't have to do anything other than enjoy the the beautiful scenery. A great way to experience the lagoon without a tour group. Highly recommended.

We had a brilliant day out with Ted cruising the lagoon. A solid wind made the day extra enjoyable and having Ted explain the history of the island and share some special locations was fantastic. He even let me ‘skipper’ his cat (extremely well looked after) which was fun on the way home! We saw plenty of turtles and had a fantastic snorkel in a ‘local knowledge’ area. Lovely lunch on One Foot Island too.

My boyfriend and I had the most amazing day with Ted. He picked us up in the morning and soon after we boarded the hobie cat. We just had the wind in the sails, no noise of an engine, soon turtles were appearing next to us. On the first island we had some fresh coconut water and some local information from Ted. Next stop was one foot island were we could swim, snorkel and had lunch. After that we sailed to another island with a great reef for snorkeling. We saw starfishs and a lot of beautiful fishes. On the whole way back Ted allowed my boyfriend to stir the cat which made him soooo happy. We highly recommend the tour with Ted. The price is very reasonable, the experience authentic and it's private. Better than any typical tourism cruiseship tour to One Foot island.

Ted & Stevi took us sailing on Aitutaki Lagoon on their Hobi Cat which was amazing!
The pristine blue water, snorkelling, turtles, One Foot Island and hermit crabs to mention a few made this a highlight of our trip.
This has always been on our bucket list and it exceeded our expectations thanks to Ted’s sailing expertise and knowledge of Aitutaki.
Would highly recommend to all visitors.
Thanks Ted & Stevi for a fabulous memory of our trip!

We did the land tour and sailing tour on the Hobi cat, (different days) with Ted and Stevi. Both amazing hosts. the knowledge and stories were fantastic on both tours. We went as far as one foot island, lunch was fresh and tasty. Great snorkelling and views. We loved the land tour as well, we would never have gone to some of those places or known the stories. All in all a 12 out of 10. Thankyou guys, you both are perfect hosts to your beautiful island.

Captain Ted and his daughter Stevie took me out on a sailing tour across the lagoon and it was an absolutely wonderful experience, I highly recommend it wether you have one or ten days on the island. He is the only one sailing which means that the experience is totally unique. The other boats are likely to scare off turtles, etc. because they are loud - sailing with Captain Ted you have a 99.9 % chance seeing turtles from the boat which is amazing- we saw tons! He will take you to different motus and will explain a lot about Aitutaki, its history and stories about the motus. There’s also time for swimming/snorkeling and he will cater to your wishes anyway :). Lunch is included (wonderful and PLENTY with fresh fruit and sandwich - perfect). Just don’t forget to bring plenty sunscreen as you will spend most of the day in the sun.
Thank you Ted and Stevie for a simply unforgettable day!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of doing a half-day land tour of beautiful Aitutaki with Ted and Stevie, and had a wonderful time. The tour took us to points of interest all over the island that we never would have known about, or been able to get to otherwise. Part historian, part philosopher and all-round nice guy, Ted is passionate about preserving Aitutaki's history, culture and traditions under threat from prevailing forces unwilling to allow for views other than their own, and the way he shared his encyclopaedic knowledge gave us new-found respect and lots of insights into this beautiful place and its people. The tour took around three hours and included a delicious and very plentiful morning tea, a demonstration of how to expertly open a coconut and lots of great banter. A real highlight of our week in Aitutaki with lots of food for thought, we highly recommend this authentic experience.

One of my favourite days in my life! Ted and Stevie gave us such an amazing day! Sailing on their catamaran on a beautiful sunny warm day with a gentle breeze, we stopped at islands, went swimming, were provided with a home made delicious lunch, and lots of friendly chats. No stress! Just pure pleasure. Stopping at One Foot Island, where the beauty is incredible, and the water clarity and colour are jaw droppingly stunning, was one of my favourite places in the world to visit. Aitutaki Lagoon is sooo gorgeous too. We were able to walk from a sandy beach on its own, to a nearby island, through the water. Ted was very friendly and skilled with his sailing. He let my husband have a sail too, which kept hubby very happy. An extremely enjoyable and wonderful experience. I would definitely go again.

Our trip around the lagoon with Ted and Stevie was definitely the best thing we did in the Cook Islands. We went on the vaka tour as well, but being out in the sea with just the wind in your face and the sound of the ocean was an experience that went beyond all other ways to be out in the lagoon. Ted is a passionate and experienced sailor who took the time and patience to give my two teenage boys the chance to sail themselves - both found this a highlight of their trip, Furthermore ted explained the legends of the motu and the changes to the area due to plastic pollution and climate change. All of these things had a massive impact on the young crew! This was an amazing way to see the beauty of Aitutaki (turtles, crystal clear water and all that) through the beauty of her people. Oh, and also the food was great. We chose to sail more than snorkel, but Ted is super accomodating and whatever floats your boat, he will let you go for it - snorkel, explore, sail sunbathe or whatever I imagine! Meitaki maata Ted and Stevie, this was truly a once in a lifetime experience for me and my family :)
