Absolutely stunning!!! This was the highlight of our 4 day stay on Aitutaki. Experiencing Aitutaki from the water takes it to another level. The cruise was beautiful with the visit to One Foot island a highlight. Make sure if you are able, to walk the sandbar onto the island after the snorkelling. That in itself is a unique experience. It is about a 1k walk, not 200 metres as the staff jokingly tell you, but was well worth it You are able to buy a cold drink on board to take on the walk and the lunch that awaits you on the island was delicious and filling. Fresh salads, BBQ fish and plenty of it. The staff were friendly and funny, and ensured everyone had a superb day. We saw giant clams, Giant Trevally and Spotted Eagle rays during the snorkelling, as well as other marine life. Also make sure you take your passport to get the One Foot Island stamp added.

We booked a private half day charter for four adults and two small kids (under 4 years old) as we figured the full day cruises would be way too much for them to handle. Bishops picked us up from our accomodation, delivered us to our waiting captain and we were on our way into the lagoon. Visited two islands for a walk and the sandbar and one amazing snorkelling spot. We also snorkelled off the coast of one foot island and it was fab. Our lovely captain left us to determine what we enjoyed/didn’t enjoy and it was the perfect option for our group. If you’ve got small kids, this half day option is fabulous!

A disappointing experience. The crew weren't helpful or very friendly I fact looked as though they didn't want to be there .None helped people boarding or getting out of water after snorkling especially when it wax choppy. The snorkling was good and saw some giant trevally.
The visit to one foot island was a bit long but the lunch was excellent
Maybe we just picked an off day.

This six-hour cruise to One Foot Island was the highlight of our week’s stay on Aitutaki. It’s a marvellous experience. Here you get the tropics of your dreams – sailing through stunning turquoise water with great views from the aluminium catamaran’s upper deck, walking on brilliant white sands and wading through silver shallows on the way to small islands dotted with palm trees. Then, once the craft is anchored onshore, you can snorkel among the coral with good quality flippers and mask provided by the crew. They also have life jackets for children, even little ones. There are plenty of colourful little fish and some larger trevally within the coral, and a turtle if you’re lucky. The Bishop’s lunch ashore is a glutton’s delight, including big servings of barbequed tuna steaks. The staff aboard Bishop’s cat are a delight in themselves. Our MC Matu and her offsiders entertained us on our return with local stories and island songs on ukulele and drum. They were freewheeling, warm and entertaining, and even sang nursery rhymes for the children. It’s one of the cheaper tours to One Foot Island, and for my money the best.

We really enjoyed our Bishop's cruise. They picked us up from our resort and we visited islands, learned about the island's history and involvement in WWII (and later the Coral Tourism Route of the 50's and 60's). We got our passports stamped at One Foot Island, walked along a sandbar, which was amazing and saw giant clams while snorkelling. The lunch on One Foot Island was extensive and delicious. During our day, a storm was brewing in the distance and we sailed into it on the way home, which although wet, was super exciting with dramatic skies and ridiculous amounts of rain. Made for a very eventful and rather fun end to our day! Snorkelling here is OK (Giant Clams are cool) but if you've snorkelled the Great Barrier Reef or Whitsunday Islands, this is not as good as that but the lagoon is amazing and I absolutely recommend this day cruise! Money well spent (just $140 NZ each).

This is a great way to see the lagoon and enjoy a fun filled day trip to snorkeling and an island lunch.
We were picked up from outside our hotel and headed out to a small island where we were able to stretch our legs while the crew got fresh coconuts from the island.
We then headed out to the reef where we were able to go snorkeling with some large trevalli and other smaller fish - even a few large clams to be seen. The water wasn’t that warm so we didn’t stay in too long.
After about 40 mins we headed to One Foot Island where we had lunch and were able to do our own thing.
My wife and myself walked around the outside of the island - took about 40 mins but got to see lots of things - make sure you wear boat shoes or good shoes as the coral is sharp.
The staff were island friendly and sang beautiful island songs for us.
For $140 per person we thought it was good value.

We were on the double decker boat. We did not enjoy this tour. The captains in the boat seemed disinterested in ensuring we enjoyed ourselves and though they may have thought they were funny, they were rude. We had a number of elderly people on the boat and not one of them helped them in or off the boat at any time. They were just worried about people rinsing the sand off their feet before we re-entered the boat. No music, and the only bit of commentary was heading back from one foot island when we were told about the legend of the island..we saw the Vaka cruise land after each of our stops and we were so envious. The customers looked entertained and looked like they were having fun and they had the blinds down so they weren’t freezing while out on the water.
I also thought no one jumping into the water while we were snorkelling wasn’t cool either. I’ve been on numerous charters through the islands and there is always someone that is in the water with the group.
The only highlight was the food and the customer service while booking which was efficient.
We waited 8 songs (we took our own speaker while waiting on the sand for lunch) and the chicken was delicious.
The captains weren’t interested in talking to any of us. They were more interested in Facebook - trust me we tired to engage.

Bishops cruises were exceptional from customer service through to ensuring the experience was magical.

From pick up at the airport to the hospitality when we left was second to none.

The bishops family and staff are what make this experience spectacular along with the natural beauty of the islands, crystal clear water, lunch and entertainment.

This is a bucket list must do when you come to the Cook Islands! Aitutaki is beyond what you can imagine.

It’s on pair with the Maldives and Bora Bora but even more unspoilt.

The experience was fantastic - snorkelling, music, food, beach, passport stamping at one foot island to the cruise itself.

One day wasn’t enough so stay a few nights at Aitutaki Village and surround yourself with amazing views that photos just don’t do it justice. You won’t be disappointed.

Don’t be the one to miss out, book now!

We were lucky enough to get on this cruise at the last minute. We were picked up from our resort and visited Akaiami Island which has a bit of history relating to seaplanes. The other island we visited was one foot island where we were provided with barbequed tuna and salad for lunch. It was near and around this island where we were able to snorkel, we saw some giant trevally and clams, and saw turtles from the boat. There was possibly too much time spent on one foot island, and the trip back was long and took us back to the harbour rather than our resort. It was fine though as they had mini buses to take people back to their accommodation and us to the airport. It would have been nice to visit one other island, but overall very enjoyable and worthwhile.
