    Cultural immersion
The evening was well prepared with a beautiful show with dancing, fire throwing, and coconut cutting. The food was served cold and hot, and was good but not the best we had at the island. I think it's a good cultural immersion experience for a night

Fun Friday night in French Polynesia
We arrived right on time at 6pm and looked around a bit, interesting cool history and facts about French Polynesia. Dinner was good, I thought the English translation was pretty decent (you are in a French speaking country). Show was good, our six year old was exhausted by the time it ended at 10:30. We drove ourselves and it was a long dark drive home. I’m glad I went, I would recommend going.

Don't miss the evening spectacle at Tiki Village!
Tuesday and Friday evenings the Tiki Village puts on an educational, cultural, and gastronomical experience that should not be missed! We learned about traditional earth-oven roasting (and enjoyed the results!), the many uses of coconuts, how to tie pareos, and how to weave coconut fronds. The feast, setting, and dance show were all truly spectacular -- worth every franc!

    Entertaining and fun for all
We took the opportunity to view the full show plus dinner. The performers were friendly, engaging and made the event so much fun. I have never seen a group of performers work so hard, especially the after dinner show highlighting the history of Tahitians. Incredible event and a must see activity. The dinner buffet was huge and showcased tons of local cuisine. Something for everyone. We also did a separate Poisson Crue class with Hua ri’i who made learning so much fun. Being able to eat it afterwards was icing on the cake. This was a surprising gem we are happy to have found.

    Part of a cruise excursion.
We came here during the day as part of a cruise excursion, so we got to see a shortened version of the show. All of the performers did a very good job. We also got to walk around the grounds. There is a gift shop, restroom and a museum here. If you are staying on the island, this is a well worth evening show to go to.

It was an ok experience. The announcer was difficult to understand as he switched back and forth from English to French, so hard to follow the story. Fire show was interesting. Food was ok to fair, too many different dishes to remember what you were eating. It was also confusing about appetizers vs main meal. It was a buffet, enough said.

Our expectations didn’t match up with the reality of this event. First off, the presenter was VERY hard to understand, because he intermixed French and English, and clearly didn’t say as much information in English. My kids (9 and 14) really couldn’t follow what he was saying. Even my husband, who speaks French, couldn’t follow much of the talk as the presenter’s voice was drowned out by music or he was mumbling. I thought we were going to be given a guided tour of the village but we’re really left to just wander about and read the few signs we could find. The talk they did give went on WAY too long - be prepared not to eat til 8-8:30. Some of it was good (coconut demonstration) but some was pointless (how to wrap pares).

The food was honestly pretty bad, really nothing there I would want to eat again. The kicker was when we saw a giant cockroach behind the buffet tables. Yes the whole area is open to the outside so I don’t blame the venue, but sure lost my appetite after that. Drink service was non-existent. We grabbed our own water and later found someone to beg for a drink.

We didn’t end up staying for the show as my kids were so done with the place, they just wanted to go home (and we had seen a show at the Sofitel two days prior). Sorry to say I wouldn’t recommend this experience for anyone.

We didn’t know what to expect - but each next sweet thatched building we entered gave us more and more amazing info on Polynesian living past & present
We were amazing when we saw the beautiful traditional regalia the staff were wearing in preparation for an authentic wedding that day
Wish we could have attended one of their cultural events
Great Patel gift shop

Worth a visit, it's quite historical, small and doesn't take long to look around. We saw some traditional dancing which looked much better than that we later saw at the Hilton Island night.

This is for the show only (9-10pm): If you want to be entertained, for sure this is entertaining. If you are looking for skilled performers/dancers, not to slight them in anyway--as either way it is a LOT of work to put on the show, but this is not the spot for that. Many places perform dances and share the cultural aspect; they do it in a form of storytelling (like a play); however, most of it is in French, and the english at times was hard to hear. The best performer there was a male dancer 50ish in age--AND he WAS skilled--he had the MOST enthusiasm and love for it; gave 150%. Wonderful fire knife. The other was another male, also skilled with most of the dances. He was the comic relief of the group.

As a p.s., I did not find mosquitos to be a problem (this was a June visit).
(it's also on the west side at night, there are NO street lights, and many local pedestrians and bicyclists. With high beams, you're fine, but, most rentals are manuals, and if you aren't familiar, and driving at night, unknown streets, you might be uncomfortable. only a 15 min drive or so from the "O" lagoon though).
