There are over 1000 historic homes in a town of 56,000 people is incredible. There are craftsman, revival style, Victorian, and more. It is worth walking around to see all the architectural. Many of the homes are decked out for Christmas!

These communities are must see when you are in town! The Christmas tour and a drive around the holidays are a must! The Garden Tour in the spring is a great way to spend a day and look at the lovely taken care of home!

Carnegie Carnival runs down the streets of Downtown Decatur, and it is a blast!! Family friendly with a world class mardi gras experience. Plus we got to walk and look at these amazing homes that surround downtown. I will be back

This is such a lovely and beautiful place to visit. It's close to the Tennessee River and is excellent a walking tour.

Easily seen from vehicle but probably better by foot, it's just lovely as is the downtown area. The house are something else.
