Salem and his brother were beautiful hosts. Their keep tour took in all the major sites, ending up at their camp. Our Bedouin tent was very comfortable and spacious. They cooked us a traditional meal in the ground which was delicious. Salem spent time talking to us around the campfire after dinner, sharing dessert and tea, whilst stargazing. I highly recommend booking with Salem from Real Bedouin Experience Tours and Camps.

This tour was really well organised and a lot of fun. We arrived in Wadi Rum village and were guided where to park and meet Salem, the camp owner. We had a fun day out in the jeep stopping off at different sights to climb the rocks for viewpoint of the desert. There was a nice two hour lunch break in the shade then back out in the jeep. It’s a full day of activities so would recommend comfy outdoor clothing and good shoes for climbing. The campsite was lovely and they prepared traditional zarb food that was cooked in the ground. The real highlight was stargazing in the evening by the camp fire. We saw some shooting stars and the sky was very clear. Bathrooms and showers were immaculate and had hot water! Great trip and would recommend to anyone.

We did two days hiking, just the two of us the guide, in Wadi Rum and spent one night under the stars (literally) and one at the camp. It has definitely been the most wonderful and intense experience we've had in Jordan. Our guide, Saleh, was so nice and funny and took very care of us; during the hike he told us stories and secrets about the desert which made the experience very involving. The landscapes are breathtaking. We spent the night in a cave where Saleh and one of his brothers cooked us real Bedouin food on the fire next to the mattresses under the sky. The camp, run by Salem's family is really comfortable, welcoming and well cleaned. It really puts you at ease and make you feel at home. The wonders of the desert and the beautiful peopled that welcomed us made our trip special. Thank you so much

Actually i stayed 2 nights , day 1 did camel safari for 2 hours, next day full day jeep safari and sleeping under the stars. We had booked two rooms. Rooms are very small but comfortable. During day it would be very hot. We did not stay in room during day time but on jeep safari day when we came back around 5.30 rooms were very hot. Salem takes very good care, your food etc is made as per your pre determined choices( asked for chicken instead of beef) . One imp point we missed is that it has common toilet , since we were the only people in the camp it did not matter . Dinner was very yummy, breakfast standard with one egg, one fruit and rest humus etc. On full day jeep safari our guide cum driver cum cooked prepared food in the desert. One should experience sleeping under the stars- awesome experience

Thank you for your review. We’re happy you enjoyed dinner and your experience sleeping under the stars. Yes, the sleeping tents get very hot when closed all day. But a few minutes with the door and two windows open, and the temperature drops to match outside. Just to clarify, we have more than a “common toilet”. Yes, bathrooms are shared, but separate for men and women, with in total 4 toilets, 4 hand basins, and 4 showers. Sufficient for a small camp like ours. For breakfast, eggs, fruit and hummus, as you said, but eleven other different dishes and foods were also provided. Again, thank you for the positive comments you wrote. Salem Nasser

What a great experience! The Camp and the desert are as beautiful as shown in the pictures. The tents are authentic and elegant , made of black and white goat's wool and the inside is lined with beautiful bedouin fabrics. Washrooms and showers are in a stone building - a hygienic 40 meters away from the tents - and very clean. Food was excellent! I loved watching the sunset and sitting around the Camp fire after dinner! I also appreciated the easy communication via e-mail and that we got clear prices with no hidden extras. Thanks for the great hospitality to everyone!

Went My wife and I and a couple of close friends.
The place was beyond my expectations and exactly what we were looking for. If you are searching to connect with the quieteness and magnificence of the dessert this is the place for you.
The most beautiful sunset that I have ever seen. And the stars, oh the stars....
Enjoyed the Lovely hospitality of Salem and Frances. The interesting conversations, tasty food, and how they thought of everything down to the small details.
Will come again!!!

We had a wonderful time in this camp. Communication with Salem and Frances is super easy. They even help us to organize transport to and from Wadi rum village. Their camp is in the very south of Wadi Rum. The location is perfect to enjoy the sunset from the camp or a rock next to it - the view is amazing. No jeep tour required to see the sunset like in some other camps.
Tents and facilities are like new, very clean and well maintained. Ther was nothing we would have missed.

We had an extraordinary stay with Salem and his team. They are very kind and nice, the camp is super clean and well maintained and the location is fabulous as well as calm.
They offer really tasty and authentic Bedouin food in a quality that you would not expect in the middle of the desert.
We did an hike on Jordan’s highest mountain which was well guided and a spectacular experience. They offer a lot of other activities to explore this beautiful desert!

Having been in Wadi Rum for the second time and after 2 desert tours, I can say this camp is most beautifully situated, authentic and with great views. It is a fantastic place of beauty, peace, friendly atmosphere, good food and nice tents, and with the most spacious and cleanest toilets and showers in Jordan. I recommend to stay there at least for 2 nights.

Amazing experience where I was treated like a king in a gorgeous desert. Lots of great food and views with very comfortable sleeping and dining locations. I was glad for the very nice facilities that didn't take away from the magical experience of camping in the desert. My trip could not have been improved. It was perfect.
