We travelled out with Check-in Andaman who were excellent. The water quality ie visibility and temperature were fantastic as were the number of species of fish. We have snorkelled around Phi Phi Island before and the Similan Islands offer, in our opinion, better snorkelling. Snorkelling...More

Similan island won’t be open yet by the time you come to Phuket. Normally it opens November. This time of the year, the water is rough but if you wish to go for snorkeling, i would suggest to go to Phi Phi island by Ferry. There is a ferry tour, you may ask your hotel to check with Phi Phi Cruiser as they are doing Phi Phi tour by ferry. Another option would be taking a ferry at 08:30hrs from Phuket and rent a long tail boat to go to the bays and islands around Phi Phi. Last ferry to come back to Phuket is 14:30hrs. You need to be at the pier by 14:00hrs for that.
