Some Wats in the historical ruins may look alike but do visit this famous stupa called Golden Mount. It's a tall (watch out for the fragile ruined steps!) structure built on vast planes and interesting to go up there...

You still have to walk but not all the way. This is worth visiting and the shopping and food at the end is great.

A little out of the way. Looks great from afar, but you can't climb up the chedi as of Dec 2017. Not sure if this is permanent or temporary. It also seems to have been restored recently (it looks much, much whiter than it does...More

From afar I was able to see this nice white temple. Upon arrival it looks even more beautiful. I actually searched this online and saw that it looked less appealing compared to it's current appearance. There isn't much here but it is a nice place...More

Not much to see here, and even then there was reconstruction efforts going on when I visited (June 2017). If this is part of a guided tour, might as well make a stop. Otherwise, this place is skippable. Move on to the major sites.

It's undergoing a major restoration as of May 2017 and I don't know about you but seeing something covered in scaffolding detracts a tiny bit. Still, surprisingly large. Looks way different than the ones in Ayutthaya historical park. About a mile outside the island of...More

Because this temple is fairly out of the way, it is very quiet and peaceful. There is a small monastery attached so you see the monks going around their daily business. The temple itself is stunning, but currently undergoing renovation so there is a lot...More

All wats may have active monks at any time. Pants or very long shorts that cover the knees, and shirts and tops that cover the shoulders and midriff are appropriately respectful of the culture and local practices.
