Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited Plitvice by starting at entrance 1, which had us start above with a view of Veliki Slap and other nearby features, and then head down to a closer viewpoint below it. I liked this entrance, it gave us the dramatic overview and then a chance to be up close with the waterfall itself. This was one of the more crowded places we were all day, with lots of people around taking pictures and selfies, so be prepared for that unless you're very early or late in the day.

Waterfall itself is wonderful but route to reach it is full of people going both directions as the path ends beyond the waterfall. It's almost impossible to take a picture due the amount of people.

This fall was at the end of the walk and was the most impressive of the falls. It was set in a natural bowl like structure and was just beautiful to behold. It was a shame it was still winter season and we couldn't access the lower board walks to see it due to them being still covered in snow but it was still excellent to see.
I will just have to use this an excuse for another holiday to come back and see it from below.

Hello,

We visited the park in June 2023, but unfortunately we did not get to visit it due to a torrential rain. You won't find a refuge/shelter. I recommend to be equipped with capes, raincoats, umbrella

We were there in September, hoping for good weather but it wasn't the case, too bad.
The silver line being that the place wasn't overcrowded as it seems to be usually (at least according to the many reviews).
This is an impressive waterfall, great as its names indicates (close to 90m height) and definitely a highlight of this famous park.

Breathtaking experience! We arrived at 8:00 am and were pleased to see no crowds at that time. We got 10,000 steps in by noon and explored all of the lower and most of the upper lakes. Definitely wear good walking shoes and take your time. By the time we left at 1230 the parking lot was full and all of the empty boardwalks were crowded.

A nice start to the day in the park... A lot to experience within the first few hundred metres just to get to this waterfall. Nice to see and just the beginning.

We had been here before but the waterfall is worth seeing many times. There was a tremendous amount of water and splash. It was fantastic!

The Valiki Slap had a waterfall with more than 60meters. I does look great from from every angle possible. There are wood steps and walkways to get there.

largest waterfall in the national park -- head over there first and then wander around the rest of the park for the duration of your visit.
