Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent! Very interesting place to visit, we got to see the parmesan production live and learned lots of stunning details. Tasting was nice, too.

Arranged this tour via website and was easy to do. Welcomed with enthusiasm on arrival and the wonderful smell of the shop and working diary. Quickly though the COVID formalities and you are walked around the diary as the day's cheese is being produced. You are in the heart of the action and even get a taste of that days, as yet, not aged cheese. A fascinating insight into the culture of this local product from someone with passion for what they produce. Well worth a visit

Toured this cheese maker while on a business trip. While to operation is small the tour was very insightful. We were allowed to taste the parmesan "fresh" before it was pressed, brined and aged (which was very bland but interesting). We were shown each step of the process. The aging racks were very cool (and stored a lot of $$$ worth of cheese).

The highlight was the tasting and the opportunity to purchase cheese aged 25+ months for a fraction of what I could buy it back home in the States.

If your travels bring you through Reggio Emilia try to make a stop here. So neat!

We got a tour of the factory from Annalisa, who was a wonderful tour guide! We saw the entire process to make Parmesan Reggiano cheese from start to finish, and got to watch the cheese makers in action (all of whom were very friendly). We learned how much time and hard work goes into making this delicious cheese, and we got to taste 3 different ages--all were fantastically delicious! If you're in the area and want to learn more about the process, we highly recommend a visit.

Based on a recommendation from the owner of the restaurant La Quercia di Rosa we searched out this local cooperativa that produces some of the best DOP Parmigiano-Reggiano. It was a cold and dreary morning as we walked into the store front at 8:45a when the first tour starts.

We had read that the production of the Parmigiano-Reggiano starts at 8:30 so if you want to follow the production of that mornings cheese you need to get there early. Being it was off season we were the only people on the tour that morning, which allowed us to ask lots of questions about how and why they produce the Parmigiano-Reggiano.

The staff at latter Sociale Cooperativa were super friendly and helpful, including the workers in the factory who I am sure we got into the way of. The tour is without cost but clearly we left with a large stash of Parmigiano-Reggiano that we are still enjoying now that we are back home!
