Arrived ~20 minutes before 5PM, their stated closing time. The owner waved me away saying they were closed with no explanation. If you close before 5, your hours should reflect that.

The 3 of us hired bikes for 4 hours for a great price and just rode around the beautiful town. Such a fun day! We saw some beautiful places and we finished off at the beach. It was early August so there were many young...More

Shop is next to the station and easily found. The people we dealt with on arrival and at the end could speak a little English (very friendly) and had some "standard phrases" on cards which proved interesting and entertaining !. Nevertheless they spoke enough to...More

Easy and convenient service, bikes not for large people. We took the bikes with gears, not supermodels but OK since distances are short in Kamakura.

The rental shop is conveniently located right outside the train station (south). I recommend the highest priced electric bike (dendo jitensha) if you're going all day because the terrain is not flat. The electric bikes really heighten the pleasure of the experience and get you...More

Easy to find, just 50m from the JR station entrance. Owner speaks a little English and options and prices are provided in English. There are bikes without gears, with gears, mountain bikes and electric bikes. Avoid the last if you intend to go up hills...More

I didn't notice any kids bikes but you can try. We rode along the streets and felt safe but no helmets in Japan . Hope this helps. It's a gorgeous place.
