Nice castle and have quite a lot collection of Tokugawa Ieyasu Legacy. You must pay 200 yen to see inside the castle. It's okay to take picture in this place. If you like to collect stamp, don't forget to bring plain paper or book. You...More

Really a nice castle located in Hamamatsu city, easily accessible from the station by bus. Nothing much to see inside the castle, its a very small 3 story castle, maintained really well. Park beside the castle is really nice and very peaceful one can spend...More

It was closed when we arrived but nice to see all the same. We were unlucky with the weather for our time here.

It took 20 min from the Hamamatsu station to walk to the castle. There is a good walking path and Japanese garden to enjoy after long meeting at the congress center.

A mild trek takes you to the top of this castle which has great views of the neighbourhood. You can see a huge lake (which looks like sea) and baseball and football stadiums around. It's a 'good' getaway and not something out of the world...More

I personally disapprove this kind of waste of money to build replicas of something we don´t know how it looked like. A castle made out of concrete. The castle itself gets a thumb down from me but the surrounding parks and gardens were designed tastefully...More

I understand there is a bus that can take you to the Hamamatsu Castle but we decided to take a leisure walk instead. We were at a hotel by the train station and it took about 20-25 minutes. The castle is not as big as...More

The castle itself is not something that is tremendously interesting, but it sits at the top of the park, and provides a nice focus for a walk in the park.
