Spent 9/10/2018 whale watching and it exceeded our expectations. We saw lots of Orcas but no other types of whales which was ok because orcas were the reasons for our trip. Great crew. I will highly recommend it.

Mike, Thanks for joining us! Glad we were able to exceed your expectations and find you the orcas you hoped for!

First whale watching tour and saw several pods. The boat ride through the San Juan’s alone was worth the cost. The crew was great and communicated with other boats to find the pods. Watching these amazing Orcas glide through the water and learning about them...More

This trip was awesome. I'd been with a competitor recently and would not recommend them. This is the only group to go with in the area!!!!! The crew was friendly and knowledgable. We pulled up Dungeness Crab, saw Harbor Seals, Eagles, and Herons. Not to...More

Thanks for taking time to review your La Conner full-day tour! That extended tour gives us the opportunity to do a lot of really fun things, such as using our research permit to catch and release Dungeness crab! We really appreciate you choosing Island Adventures...More

Lara, Thanks for taking time to share your thoughts! All three of our boats are great, but the Island Explorer 5 is truly something special! Her size and comfort make her the best boat on the water when it comes to watching whales. We're happy...More

They promise whales and they delivered. Several of the ships communicate so they can help each other find whales. I believe this is the largest of the ships we saw holding about 150. The size of the boat allowed more comfort and had both good...More

Bob, Thanks for choosing Island Adventures! There are many different whale watching vessels in the area, but we find that the size and comfort of our vessels really set us apart from the rest. We appreciate you taking time to share your thoughts!

We have taken a couple of island adventure cruises on the past and not sure of we will use them again. We went in Anacortes and port angels with the same results. We understand that you have to stay 200 yards away from the whales...More

We are surprised to see this kind of feedback. You are correct that the regulations in this region stipulate an approach distance of 100 yards for humpbacks, minkes, and gray whales and 200 yards for orcas, but we make a point to provide our guests...More

We had an incredible experience having found a pod of 5 orcas and followed them and got to see them capture a seal to feed on. (It was all underwater action, so wasn’t gruesome). The crew was excellent - very knowledgeable and were great about...More

Michelle, Thanks for writing about your recent tour! Watching orcas hunt is pretty incredible, and tufted puffins are always a nice treat! We don't get to see them very often. Sounds like you brought a bit of luck with you! Great having you aboard.

I don't tend to be seasick, but the boat was fairly steady and the waters pretty calm. I didn't notice anyone having any problems.
