I didn’t stay here as accommodations are probably pricey and I didn’t eat here as I’ve read some so-so comments on food as of LATE, but still you should go! Regardless, the bakery on the 1st floor looked very busy when I passed by. Walking...More

You can really feel and smell the history, as the old furniture and carpets gives this specific smell. It is so different and so charming, so worth to visit. While walking around the downtown stop there for cup of coffee.

Lovely example of Victorian architecture. Stopped and rested a while on beautiful sofas and admired the artwork, dark wood and lighting fixtures. Next time I’ll stay and visit the Grille!

Happy hour at the bar of the driskill hotel is a must in Austin. A great place. Completely packed at the end of the day during sxsw. Great ambience. If you want to be seated - arrive before 7pm.

I don't know that I would have enjoyed staying at the Driskill in 1800. Probably too hot for me. Today though? I could live in the elegant and friendly spaces. You must go to see the charm, construction, the beauty of the place. Sadly, places...More
