We were staying overnight in Athens and looking for something for the kids to do after a long day in the car. This park was great! Nice playground, walking path and ball fields. Plenty of parking and the whole area was so clean!

The regional park has a lot of activities there's even a ponds to fish in there is a community center that holds different events. And you can rent space for special occasions.

My children played soccer there for years. It has very nice restroom facilities, softball fields, walking path, a pavilion by a lake and a meeting building. There is a super playground and plans are being made to construct a water activities area.

This park has a huge playground and excellent fireworks show for Fourth of July holiday. Grill area and lots of shade on a hot summer day. Bathrooms are located near the playground.

Athens Regional Park is a beautiful space. It is a wonderful place to take the kids. The playground is great! The children beg me to take them there. There are also walking/biking paths and ball fields.

Nice, quiet, relaxing park to visit and stroll around the little lake and grounds. We visited during the week and the park was virtually empty... plenty of parking.

Park has a great playground and a duck pond. I believe fishing is allowed at the duck pond, too. There's a couple nice covered picnic areas/tables

To be honest, I picked Athens, TN, on a map because it was right in the path of totality for the 2017 solar eclipse and is located conveniently off the highway. I didn't even know about this park initially but later noticed that it was...More
