The drought has taken its toll on Emigrant Lake, which has shrunk to a very small pond. But it is interesting to walk around the lake and to see where the water levels have been historically. If we are ever blessed with wet weather in...More

The lake is run by Jackson County and is a multi-use one - there's fishing, boating, and plenty of locations for parties - both shaded and not. I'm sure plenty of families come out for big birthday parties and what not. There's also a smallish...More

Emigrant Lake has something for everyone. A great water slide for the kids, miles of hiking trails, and lots of opportunities to boat or swim. Also, a great place to bring your dog!

It's a very beautiful lake/reservoir. I prefer natural lakes. It has a lot of shore birds, and is good for hiking but you can also do some of the paths in wheelchair.

This Jackson County park has a wonderful RV park overlooking the lake with full hookups and nice restroom/shower facilities. They accept reservations online or by calling. You don't have to be a Jackson County or even an Oregon resident to reserve space. Camp hosts are...More
