Free Admission. The museum is in the old National Guard building. It covers the history of the town and the surrounding area. There are lots of old west artifacts and a separate building full of vintage farm machinery. The museum also houses the Ardmore Military Memorial Museum, which is outstanding. There are exhibits for every war. Uniforms from many countries. There is lots of informative text describing each item. They have a huge military library.

This is a wonderful museum. It’s very well maintained and brought back lots of memories. There is no cost for the museum. Loved it!

This museum is unfortunately closed due yto COVID-19; and the website did not mention this until we drove up there this Tuesday and found the note on the door. A pity.

This museum is dedicated to the local history around Ardmore. We spent about 2 hours to tour the whole museum. It is well laid out and gives you a real feel for the region. Also in the museum is a separate area of military artifacts and history of men and women who served our country. It is well worth your time to visit this museum if you are in the area. This museum is free but donations are accepted.

Found the museums to be both interesting and informative. You not only learn about the history of southern Oklahoma, but get a great insight into many of the people who came from this area.

I've been there many times and still haven't seen it all as yet. But I'll keep trying. Some evenings they have presentations and tell stories about the history of Ardmore, the area and Southern Oklahoma as a whole. Very interesting.

This museum has displays of items used in homes, businesses, schools, and farms through the last 150 years in that part of Oklahoma. There is a real log cabin that was dismantled, and reconstructed within the museum. There is also a military museum section with many uniforms and weapons. Well worth the voluntary donation and easily accessible to the handicapped.

Large facility with lots of local history: fire, explosion, oil poduction and services history, military section, fishing, log cabin, medical stuff, soda fountain, printing, cameras, millinery, doll houses, photos, an early TV camera, a very early battery-operated car (in a museum already, can you believe?). Nice gift shop, helpful staff. Donations.

I worked a car show benefit here and have visited servers times. There are lots of military things to see and I love the old houses set up just like years ago.
