Visited with my 10 year old nephew, really interesting history, lots to see, he was totally engaged! Watched the video and walked all over, beautiful views overlooking the harbor!

Beach was crowded the week of 4th of July. Hardly any empty parking spots. Lots of birds around the park. Wasn't very handicap friendly, had to walk far to get anywhere. All handicap parking spots were taken. Maybe best not to go on a holiday...More

We drove in and around, kids loved seeing the cannons! Too much walking for someone with bad knees, wheelchair accessible. Pretty view and at the end of the island.

To my knowledge there is no place to dock a boat to go and visit the fort. The Coast Guard base is on one side and open beach on the other with no dock.
