Suwa Shrine, located on top of a hill, is a place of tranquility and beauty. Its architecture reflects Japaneses culture and style. A must-see in Nagasaki. Just be prepared to climb lots of stairs.

The Shrine sits on the top of a low hill. From the tramways level, there is a long climb over 300 to 400 steps to reach the Shrine. There is the other option of driving to a car park at a higher street level, but...More

This shrine is a beautiful place for some quiet reflection, and watching spectacular weddings if you are lucky. The shrine is popular for weddings, but also has significance as a maritime blessing site. A must for its beauty and peacefulness.

Most beautiful little temple, with a very convienient transportation to the foot of it's stairs. Not that many visitors, so it had a quiet serene feel to it. It has a free attached zoo very close to the shrine.
