Great to see all the neon lights and watch the people enjoying this. Lots of the Japanese pose on the bridge for the large walls. Good to spend half an hour just watching.

The area never gets borin. The long street is filled with all kinds of shops and restaurants. If you are buying anything more 1500 you actually get a tax deduction too but remember to bring your passport with you. A must go attraction

This is the quintessential japan experience!! The atmosphere is amazing. The food, you would walk around for days and not see everything. Definitely a must see for Osaka!!

This is the heart of the nightlife in Osaka. It is all lit up at night and full of people, shops, and restaurants. Go for a walk and soak up the atmosphere of the city.

One of my favorite places after 2+ weeks of touring Japan is the Dotonbori area of Osaka. Lively and fun - but feeling safe yet on the edge - Dotonbori is full of shops, clubs, bars and restaurants. It's more "New York Times Square" than...More

Personally, I found Osaka a more interesting place to visit than Tokyo thanks in a large part to Dotonbori. The place is a heave so if crowds worry you this is not the place for you; otherwise it is chock full of interesting little restaurants,...More

Not a good place for kids. Too crowdy and easy to get lost.
