I attended Saturday evening mass and it was held in the crypt chapel in the basement. The main cathedral was under renovation. After reading what the other reviewers wrote, I hope to visit the main cathedral itself in future after the rework. In the meantime,...More

Cathedral not a must see, does have significance to it being one of the largest in Asia, but seeing cathedrals around the world this is very underwhelming its about a 10 minutes walk from centre of Hiroshima.

Not exactly a tourist must-visit place but we still plan for this which is within walking distance from the Hotel we stayed at Jonan Dori. This huge cathedral is presently under renovation and partially covered hence we encountered some difficulty locating it, after crossing the...More

The church is one of the largest in Asia. The cathedral documents Christianity in Japan - Hiroshima and Nagasaki having the largest Christian populations in Japan in 1945. It's currently be restored.

Tried going there for 7.30 am mass but it was under renovation. There was mass in Japanese when we got there, but from the poster, mass in English is only available at 2.30 pm.

We have sought and found a particular church on Easter Monday. But I am really sorry about the old fashioned vocabulary in the german flyer. More than 25 years after the reunification of Germany it sounds like during the Cold war still reading, West/West and...More

When I take school groups to Hiroshima we always go to Mass here - we are always warmly welcomed. Well worth the visit if you have the time to look inside - a fairly easy walk from Hiroshima Station.
