My hotel was actually located on Peace Boulevard, so I walked it several times. There are some simple memorial type statues along the Blvd.

On a very busy street when I walked down lots of traffic maybe not as bad of quite days on the roads. Peace park is very well done and is a must do.

Essentially, this is just a busy main road which gets you to the Peace Park. There are a few monuments on the way, but I wouldn't suggest making a special journey to walk it.

We took the peace blvd. to get back to town from the memorial and peace park. It was just like a main boulevard with lots of stores and traffic. But nothing special on the way.

This was the most direct route from the peace park to our hotel and is a wide avenue, traffic is present but there are some patches of greenery to keep it at bay. Along the roadside are some small shrine/memorial type structures which are interesting.

The boulevard not only shows the resurgence of the people of Hiroshima with its shops and residences but it also has little peace monuments gifted from all the world.

This boulevard is on the rite from the city center to the peace memorial park. So that makes it the logical route to walk.

A tribute to the strength of the Japanese people. Shops, restaurants everything and the respect and discipline of traffic.
