Take a leisurely stroll through the park admiring the flowers and trees before following the signs for the park, slabs decorated with pictures of zoo animals. Cross the road by the Hokkaido shrine car park entrance and continue walking through the woods. Look out for...More

A nice park that is especially crowded for hanami during cherry blossom time. It turns a bit into a party. There are vendors selling festival type food like takoyaki. It's a bit on the outskirts of downtown - so would take the subway to get...More

Visited 22nd April and only see the buds. Made a trip again on last day of April for GW holidays. Lot of visitors gathered for BBQ under the cherry trees. This is full bloom cherry blossom and a occasion for celebration and gatherings.

The park surrounds the Maruyama Shrine. I came here in summer so it was green and brown everywhere. Very refreshing.

We decided to visit the park on a whim and what a pleasant surprise. Beautiful and great photo ops! Better yet was the hiking trail. The trail is well kept and manageable. In fact we saw many local old timers with their walking poles as...More

From Maruyama Koen subway station by walk is about 10 minutes (cuz we quite not familiar the place). Can take beautiful pictures and enjoy mini snow sliding. Have a walk to the Shrine.

We saw cherry blossoms blooming all around here on May 6, during the golden week. It was a beautiful sight! Very nice park, scenic and tranquil. A lot of people were doing picnics. There were stalls selling street foods near the Hokkaido shrine area. The...More
