I mean this is just a museum about tea. Nice to see but not a must. I have been 3 Times there, because I brought friends to the tea mountains and they of course wanted to see museum (it’s for free).

Very interesting to learn about and drink green tea. Driving around the Lake to get to tea fields was slow due to too many cars but gave us good views of living in a big city in China.

We enjoyed our tour of the National Tea Museum. It was not very crowded compared to the typical tourist places so it was very pleasant to walk through. All exhibits had English signage and descriptions. There was a tea ceremony at the end of the...More

Was really amazed at the benefit of Longjing Tea and yes there was a 'sales pitch' in a good sense. This tea cannot be bought just anywhere and it was true what we were told that it is only sold in San Franciso and after...More

Unfortunately this was another example of the hard sell and not much information. Placed in a room with our tour group the well practiced spiel and sales pitch is delivered. Just be aware when you go there or give it a complete miss and look...More

I believe there is a fee. I traveled with Shanghai Outing Club. The trip was a hike of the tea plantation and visit to the museum with one fee for the entire trip. Highly recommend the hike.

The bus stop is on the main road; take a left at the exit and head towards Lu Cha. I think we took bus 27 back to the north end of West Lake.
