Take Chinese currency with you. On our Wendy Wu tour (21days) we were offered many optional tours on different days. You had to pay cash for these. No cards. These tours were usually 150 to 200 Yuan per person per tour. Meals were provided but drinks were extra. A beer was 15-25 yuan. Coke 10 Yuan. Our guide offered exchange services at good rates for $A, $US & Euro. If you are going into country areas they only take cash in Yuan. Also, the Wendy Wu tipping and Yangtze River Cruise tipping must be in Yuan. John.

Hi we are not long back from Wendy wu Wonders of China tour. All i can really say is it was 5* all the way. I'm not saying there weren't any problems but they weren't our problems. The National guide "Hebe" took care of everything. Food was amazing, Hotels ranged between adequate and excellent. (your not in them long enough to care) Worth every penny, experience of a lifetime, you wont regret it. Hope this is helpful.
