We went there during busy October week. It is much easier to get in than to the main museum. It took us 10 minutes or so to get through a line, after we showed our passports and got a free tickets.

This is a very beautiful museum, you can get here easily and it is less crowded as compared to other Museum at Xian. The architecture and the inside exhibits are beautiful. the museum explains you about the 13dynasties of China and other Chinese life.
This is a smaller museum compare to the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum. Less crowded and much easier to get in. Visitor can get a good explanation of Xian's prominence in 13 dynasties and see some beautiful pieces.

Hi sorry we were on a guided tour but our tour guide let’s us explore by ourselves but was always around for any questions. There did not appear to be any people in the reception area waiting to guide people through.
