Very good monument, I liked seeing it and taking some shots. As I will always say, the good thing about all this monuments is that it is all gathered in one place in the Mamayev Kurgan Hill.

part of a place of unbelievable suffering and sadness this statue stands out in its simplicity. It shows grief in such a direct way - a mother cradling her dead sons body - on the left of the walk way to the main "Motherland Calls"...More

Part of the Mamayev Hill Stalingrad Memorial, moving statues surrounding a pool. Extremely serene and thought provoking.

These statues tell a story by themselves. They tell a lot about the heart and the mentality of the Russian people. It add a lot to this already impressive place

The entire area is an excellent representation of the patriotism, bravery and grief of war. This is probably the most difficult statue to photograph because people are posing in front of it.

The Square of Grief is located near a church. And it gives this monument a special sad and touching feeling.
