Loved the way the names of the dead were collated and displayed. Great way to honour your heroes, and something I respect.

You get to see the eternal flame and are probably here to see the statue on top of the hills. The room itself is quite nice as well :)

This hall list all those from the Soviet army who lost their lives at the battle of Stalingrad. The names go on and on and on across the walls. The eternal flame remembers them as well as the guards standing in honor.

Similar to the Eternal Flame, the Hall of Military Glory served as a stirring tribute to those killed. However, it even had the names of all the Soviet soldiers on the side, which poignantly reminds you that their victory was attained at a great cost....More

This place is very impressive and the memory of the ones who died here is kept very well alive by the guard who is present. If you have the chance, wait for the change of the guards....

The Changing of the Guard happens 5 minutes before the hour. Take a position at the entrance to see the new guards marching down the steps a few minutes beforehand.

This is really part of Manaev Kurgan, so you will inevitably see it when you climb the hill. Nevertheless it's very impressive particularly at the changing of the guards which is every full hour.
