For some implicit reasons, this spot is not so popular like others in Kazan. But it definitely should be one of the first place after Kremlin, because here lived all Tatars, and you could feel there mode of life, culture and many other things.

Built in 1766-1770, it is Tatar medieval achitecture. It is situated in the Old Tatar Quarter of Kazan(Old Sloboda?) at the bank of Lake Qaban.

It's great for prayer, also great for sightseeing. Tourists are all over the place. Nice to enjoy the prayer rooms and the architecture. Some local souvenirs can be obtained there. Staff are very friendly. No one speaks English!!

Mosque located historical side of city nearest Kaban lake. Mosque including marriage saloon also. I think for respecting to history ; they must unplug satellite and analogue tv antennas from the historical mosque's wall and minaret..
