Bauman Street you can find everything from restaurants, bars to strip clubs. Take your walking shoes so you can enjoy the long street. A good place to going shopping as well.

Bauman street is one of the oldest street of Kazan. There are many nice small shops where you can buy goods and national souveniors. You can also have some national and European meal in some cosy place.

This is full of cafes and shops. Do not expect great souvenir places even though there are more of these shops on this street than we have seen since leaving Vladivostok. They are filled with leftover souvenirs from the World Cup and lots of stuff...More

You can walk around and see children playing, live music, hawkers selling things and lots of restaurants around. Good place for people watching, getting coffee or just sitting and enjoying.

I think Tatarskaya Usadba is a fine, inexpensive restaurant with an excellent bar list. It's not on Baumann, but not far. (The big, more expensive Tatar restaurant on Baumann is not good, despite all the advertising.)
