    Quick visit was satisfactory
This time, my visit was very quick to just purchase a few snacks for onward travel as my stay in Manila was brief. The SM Hypermarket has an excellent range of food and clothing. The shopping centre was not crowded at 1500 hours but if one returned at say 1730, it's highly likely more shoppers would be visiting. This is not my favourite Asian mall as it's built 'out' rather than 'up' meaning it can be a significant walk from one desired shop to another. Guards are helpful if one cannot find a cafe or shop. As in most Filipino malls, they have excellent knowledge as to where each outlet is. Taxis are numerous and not expensive, provided the driver switches on the meter.

    Must Do
A mall is a mall...but this one is a treat. It has everything....stores, food, and of course crowds. You could easily spend an afternoon just walking around. Lots of local and Western stores and eateries. Safe and clean and kid friendly. Prices were on par with the US.

Anyway, it's a big and fun mall!
Anyway, a big shopping mall. We can't go around in a day. In addition to the shopping mall, the concert arena and convention center are adjacent. There are also many restaurants where adults and children can enjoy. During the Christmas season, a large tree decorates the area to lift the mood. There are dances and other events throughout the mall, and it is fun just to walk around the mall. Since there is not much of an overall view or map of the mall, the building may be different if there are no shops you want to visit. You can buy Filipino food and sundries at a store called KULTURA, so this is the only way to buy souvenirs.

SM Mall of Asia, is a large shopping mall in the Philippines, located at Bay City, Pasay, Philippines, within the SM Central Business Park, a reclaimed area within Manila Bay, and the southern end of Epifanio de los Santos Avenue (EDSA)
The mall is currently the largest shopping mall in the Philippines following the opening of IKEA Pasay City at the mall's complex. starting 2021, and the third in the world It opened in 2006

Following the mall's opening in 2006, it caused several smaller shopping malls nearby to close, such as the Pearl Plaza and the Uniwide Coastal Mall, both located in Tambo, Parañaque. However, this is changing with the rise of other malls and similar structures such as the Ayala Malls Manila Bay and W Mall.

This was the mall closest to our hotel connected by hotel shuttle. It may no longer be the largest mall in Asia or even in the Philippines but it sure is big. It is large and bustling with shoppers from around the world. Compare that to the malls in the USwhich have closed or are struggling. This one has tons of restaurants both inside and on the outside walkway of all prices. The supermarket is awesome and the department store has good service and fair prices. The only smoking area is behind the Starbucks in the west side of the mall. There are sufficient restrooms and while it appears they are constantly getting cleaned they are in rather poor repair. Sinks not working. Toilets blocked off for eventual repIr, low on toilet paper, sometimes no paper towels, sometimes no soAp. Since the mall is so big and so much walking is involved it would be nice if there were some benches to sit and rest. A note: some of the merchants have provided limited seating outside their stores for that reason.at the main entrance they pass out flyers regarding property available for sale in Manila. Money can be exchanged at the front entrance at fair rates. No paper maps of the mall available. If you pay by credit card you must present a photo ID at the stores.

The area is a combination of budget to high-end restaurants, shops and other activities. There’s also a separate high-end portion that’s accessible through walkways. MOA is comprehensive in its offerings, you’re likely to find everything that you need. There are also cinemas, and in S Maison, cinemas with lazy boy chairs and good audio/ video. A stone’s throw away, you can walk to the bayside which has its own set of restaurants and outdoor activities.

Revised review

i do not reccomend ice skating

The rink is not maintained. Chunks and deep grooves through out, NO Zamboni machine ever came out between skate times. The skates are so old and literally falling apart there must be no limit to the amount of tickets they sell so the ice rink is jammed. Too jammed to skate ...lets all block the ice and stand around and take selfies The whole experience was terrible. complete rip off! about 9.00 USD each. skates smelled terrible

Never go to Mall of Asia SM Hypermarket especially during weekends because the long line in the counter . When i went there I started lining up to pay for my groceries at 9pm and i reached the cashier at 9:40pm. 40minutes of waiting in the line just to pay for your stuff??? They need to assign more cashier especially during Rush hour .
Other Hypermarkets also have a lot of customers too but they have sufficient Cashiers to Serve the Customers.

Large sprawling shopping mall with most of the global brands
You’d expect in a capital city.
Food hall sells lots of noodles and rice dishes, as expected and pizza and fried chicken. Could t find anything that sold fresh fruit or predominantly vegetable dishes.
Be aware that you can’t cross the road to access the Mall as it’s so busy with traffic but each enters EC is services by an enclosed bridge and the Mall is air conditioned.

It claims the largest mall of Asia but it isn't if checking with wiki. Anyway Philippines should be proud of this megamall and to me as a tourist, this is a very nice and cozy place with tons of shops eateries restaurants food court and a supermarket. The top international apparel brands are not here but I like it, as it's more local and authentic of Philippines style. The names of some shops are full of gimmicks too eg a bookstore called "Fully Booked" 😂

Seems all people here are locals, tourists like me very rare.

The air con and ventilation is very strong and good, important in hot Manila.

Location not near to metro station.

I spent more than half day here, eating and experiencing Philippines which I haven't visited for 14 years. No successful shopping though.

The MoA has been rejuvenated! It is truly amazing the amount of renovation that has taken place since the last time I visited there 16 months ago. It mall looks brand new especially in the middle south side where there is a play are for children, coffee kiosks, etc. It is still under construction and getting from the mall side to the Conrad Hotel, Hard Rock Cafe, Texas Roadhouse Restaurant, etc. can be confusing as the signage was not complete. It is well worth visiting and shopping there! Absolutely Huge! The food in Hard Rock and In TGIFridays is very good. I will be back the next time I work/visit there.

Mall of Asia has everything. You don’t need to jump from different shopping centers to get what you need or want. The only thing you should be prepared is the long walks but not bad at all, mostly air conditioned. Added exercise especially if you go munching all day. Of course it’s crowded, it’s the Philippines everywhere you go in Metro Manila or big cities in the country crowded.

SM- I like to come here because of Kultura, I craved to see more Filipino designed and produced goods, from kid’s clothing to adults’s., bags, accessories etc.... but we should not need Kultura to do this, I hope more shops sell locally designed and produced products. We got so much talent in the Philippines. Why do you need to buy these crappy Zara,H&M products, crappy and you’re just making these companies richer and our talents at home poorer. Say no to any foreign products, we have them all. All we need is pressuring these shopping centers to sell more of these Filipino produced. Back in Europe they don’t care much about our products so we should care. We should prioritize them, LouisVuitton bags, Prada, etc....will not make you look richer or better, you look more like a trying hard one. “Tangkilikin ang Sariling Atin”.

Food court: many restaurants or fast food chains to choose from. We try to eat in a more traditional Filipino serving place, avoiding these American franchises., of course you can’t help going to one if you crave for good burger but for chicken, Jolibee and Max Restaurant good enough.

After going around the globe as expats, you’re exposed to different culture and people and that’s when we saw and observe some people don’t even know the Philippines exists or think as a very very poor country- I beg very much to disagree, we got so many talented individuals scattered around the globe, the Philippines can be great, all we need is free flow of information (more) and improve our education system. Education after all is the key and knowing to appreciate what we have in the country and supporting our local businesses and products. Don’t be fooled by foreign products. We got really great ones.

Mabuhay Philippines.

The host couldn't tell me how long the wait is; 10 minutes or 2 hours? We were a group of 14; they kindly accommodated our request. My husband is a Muslim and don't eat pork. Anyway, they muddled up my order; ie: the dish I ordered with no pork came with pork. The dish I ordered as it is with pork came with no pork. I ordered skewered chicken but they gave me fried chicken. I complained but it meant I had to wait another 20 minutes for the skewered chicken so I had to accept the fried chicken in which there was a lot of left-over. Whoever is the floor manager at that time is nowhere to be seen; hence it was chaotic. I don't think I will go back again...
