The Lost Waterfalls hike is a great way to spend half a day near Boquete. The hike requires average fitness level, as there are a few places with some elevation gain, but it's not a difficult hike. The trail is well maintained, although during the...More

We did this hike two weeks ago (mid-April) and thoroughly enjoyed it! In order to get to the trailhead, you need a car or a local cheeba bus going to Bajo Mono (small white van shuttle). The buses depart from Calle 1a Sur (one block/...More

My husband and I went to see the Lost Waterfalls today. It's absolutely beautiful. It was pretty muddy and had strenuous areas. We loved every minute. Then I hurt my foot. I was so slow we missed our taxi. We owe your attendant big time!...More

My husband and I did this hike in April with a guide. It's not necessary to do it with a guide but we had fun with the guide. The path is steep in some places, has a lot of roots, and can be slippery and...More

3 nice waterfalls, hike was medium level, wet and muddy trail so it's very slippery. 7$ entrance fee are a bit too much in my opinion. Bring your rain jacket because of the humidity in the clouds.

My 18 and 10 year old sons and my husband and I enjoyed this hike. It's relatively short and challenging, especially with the mud while we were there, which made it more interesting and fun for my kids. We are used to hiking in Colorado,...More

The views of the valley, the haunting forest call of the black-face solitaire, and the hummingbirds were the highlights of this hike for us. The waterfalls are quite nice, but not spectacular. Bring water and wear footwear that can get muddy. I did not like...More

Nice short hike that is easily accessible from boquete. Take the small van bus headed to bajo mono (one street north from the main square in boquete) for $2.50. The driver will assume you are going here. Otherwise say tres cascadas. It was very muddy...More

It's a nice hike, but very short leaving you thinking, "Oh, this was already it?!" We went there after it had rained - not a problem if you're used to hiking, but certainly tricky for kids.

Hi, Sorry that I didn't see this question before. It's rated moderate to difficult. The 4 year old would have problems without a lot of help and they would both need supervision.
